A mixed ultrasoft/normconserved pseudopotential scheme [PDF]

open access: yesPhys. Rev. B 53, 6869 (1996), 1996
A variant of the Vanderbilt ultrasoft pseudopotential scheme, where the normconservation is released for only one or a few angular channels, is presented. Within this scheme some difficulties of the truly ultrasoft pseudopotentials are overcome without sacrificing the pseudopotential softness.

Calculation of the X-Ray Spectrum of a Mammography System with Various Voltages and Different Anode-Filter Combinations Using MCNP Code [PDF]

open access: yesIranian Journal of Medical Physics, 2016
Introduction One of the best methods in the diagnosis and control of breast cancer is mammography. The importance of mammography is directly related to its value in the detection of breast cancer in the early stages, which leads to a more effective ...

The $^{103}$Rh NMR Spectroscopy and Relaxometry of the Rhodium Formate Paddlewheel Complex [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2023
The NMR spectroscopy of spin-1/2 nuclei with low gyromagnetic ratio is challenging, due to the low NMR signal strength. Methodology for the rapid acquisition of $^{103}$Rh NMR parameters is demonstrated for the case of the rhodium formate "paddlewheel" complex $\mathrm{Rh_2(HCO_2)_4}$.

Promoting effect of Rh on the activity and stability of Pt-based methane combustion catalyst in microreactors

open access: yesCatalysis Communications, 2021
For the combustion of methane, a partial replacement of platinum by rhodium leads to a significantly improved light-off behavior of the corresponding mixed Pt-Rh/γ-Al2O3 catalysts compared to a catalyst containing only Pt supported on γ-Al2O3. For all Pt-

Resonant Propagation of Entangled Rhodium Mossbauer Gammas [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2006
We report the resonant propagation of the long-lived Mossbauer gamma in the time-resolved Mossbauer spectroscopy. Recently, three entangled gammas emitted from the E3 rhodium Mossbauer transition has been proposed to interpret the extraordinary observations in the previous report. Further observation reported here is the dynamic beat of these entangled

Rhodium Nanoparticles for Ultraviolet Plasmonics [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
The non-oxidizing catalytic noble metal rhodium is introduced for ultraviolet plasmonics. Planar tripods of 8 nm Rh nanoparticles, synthesized by a modified polyol reduction method, have a calculated local surface plasmon resonance near 330 nm. By attaching p-aminothiophenol, local field-enhanced Raman spectra and accelerated photo-damage were observed

A nine-atom rhodium–aluminum oxide cluster oxidizes five carbon monoxide molecules

open access: yesNature Communications, 2016
Noble metals can promote the stable lattice oxygen of metal oxides to take part in oxidation reactions. Here, the authors report the preparation and reactivity of rhodium-aluminum oxide cluster ions, in which the rhodium ion promotes the transfer of five

Possible Stimulated Emission of Entangled Rhodium Mossbauer Gammas [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2006
Observation of possible stimulated emission of Mossbauer gamma is reported by liquid-nitrogen quenching of rhodium sample from room temperature to 77K in the time-resolved Mossbauer spectroscopy. Recently, we have demonstrated the anomalous emission of three entangled gammas of the E3 Mossbauer transition generated by bremsstrahlung irradiation.

Rhodium-Catalyzed Linear Codimerization and Cycloaddition of Ketenes with Alkynes

open access: yesMolecules, 2010
A novel rhodium-catalyzed linear codimerization of alkyl phenyl ketenes with internal alkynes to dienones and a novel synthesis of furans by an unusual cycloaddition of diaryl ketenes with internal alkynes have been developed.
