Production of Hydrogen with Ruminal Microbiota: Finding Culture Conditions for High Yields
Hydrogen is ideal for replacing fossil fuels because upon combustion it generates only water. Dark fermentation (DF) from lignocellulose might be a competitive process for hydrogen production at the industrial scale.

Research Progress on Influencing Factors of Gastrointestinal Microbial Diversity in Equine
The gastrointestinal microbiota of equines is essential for their nutritional digestion and health. Studies have shown that breed, age, intestinal site, nutritional management and diseases have significant effects on the gastrointestinal microbial diversity of equines. Maintaining a balanced gastrointestinal microbiota is critical to equine health, and

ABSTRACT The increase in the body weight of animals, a pivotal indicator closely tied to production, is important to the aquaculture industry. Despite remarkable variability in gut microbiomes, which are intricately associated with their hosts and affect overall performance, fitness, and physiological outcomes, across individuals and species, the ...

Quinone systems and cellular fatty acid composition in species of Rhodospirillaceae genera.
Forty nine strains of 12 species of purple nonsulfur phototrophic bacteria (Rhodospirillaceae) and one strain of facultatively methylotrophic bacteria, Protomonas extorquens were investigated with regard to their quinone systems and cellular fatty acid composition. These bacteria had the ubiquinone systems.
