A self‐assembled conjugated hollow fiber monolith enables simultaneous solar‐driven desalination and hydrovoltaic electricity generation. Metal‐free polymerization produces cross‐linked hollow fibers that entangle into a porous monolith, followed by gradient polypyrrole coating for efficient light absorption and directional water transport.

Weedy rice (Oryza sativa) II. Response of Weedy Rice to Seed Burial and Flooding Depth
Weedy rice is a serious problem of cultivated rice in most of the rice-growing areas in Asia, causing increased production costs and yield losses in rice. A study was conducted to determine the response of weedy rice accessions from India (IWR), Malaysia

Multiple management strategies exist to combat bird damage to agriculture. We explored combining two tools, drones as frightening devices and an avian repellent, to assess effectiveness of an integrated method to deter large flocks on complex landscapes. We evaluated the ability of a spraying drone (DJI Agras MG‐1P) deploying Avian Control (i.e. active

State models of phyC and phyB in rice seedlings.
A. In the cells of WT seedlings grown in the dark, most of the phyC exists as phyB/phyC heterodimers (B/C) and, probably, to a smaller degree as phyC monomers (C?), while phyB exist as phyB/phyC heterodimers (B/C) and phyB/phyB homodimers (B/B).

LsFAMeT and LsJHAMT coordinate JH biosynthesis to regulate fecundity in Laodelphax striatellus
The small brown planthopper (SBPH), Laodelphax striatellus, can trigger large‐scale outbreaks when encountering suitable habitats during migration due to their strong reproductive ability. This study investigated the role of juvenile hormone (JH) in regulating SBPH reproduction.

Mesocotyl Elongation in Rice Seedlings Grown from Immature Grains
In three cultivars of japonica paddy rice, mesocotyl length of seedlings grown in the dark from grains obtained 10 and 20 days after anthesis was greater than 10 mm, while mesocotyl length decreased with the maturity of the grain and it was less than 10 ...

The mutualism between Tapinoma ibericum ants and Aphis gossypii disrupts the biological control exerted by Aphidius colemani in greenhouse peppers. Ant exclusion increased parasitism and the presence of most natural enemies, although Aphidoletes aphidimyza was more abundant with ants.
