Thermo Gravimetric Analysis of Ridge Gourd Natural Fabric Reinforcement

Biochemical Characterization of Ridge Gourd and Sponge Gourd Genotypes

A genetic analysis of ridge gourd and sponge gourd genotypes were performed using protein profiling and isozymes analysis of four enzymes viz., peroxidase, polyphenol oxidase, esterase and super oxide dismutase. Fifteen day old seedlings of the genotypes were tested in Native-PAGE for the study of genetic diversity among them.

Investigations on Begomoviruses and Whiteflies on Ridge Gourd

Bemisia tabaci (whitefly) transmitted Tomato Leaf Curl New Delhi Virus (ToLCNDV) is a major constraint in cultivation of ridge gourd (Luffa acutangula L) in South India. A survey across Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana has highlighted a high incidence of begomovirus infections in ridge gourd crop.
