Linearizing and Forecasting: A Reservoir Computing Route to Digital Twins of the Brain
A new approach uses simple neural networks to create digital twins of brain activity, capturing how different patterns unfold over time. The method generates and recovers key dynamics even from noisy data. When applied to fMRI, it predicts brain signals and reveals distinctive activity patterns across regions and individuals, opening possibilities for ...

Bioenergy Cropping Reduces the Spatiotemporal Scaling of Soil Bacterial Biodiversity
Consistent with patterns observed in plant and animal communities, soil bacterial communities exhibit significant species–time–area and phylogenetic–time–area relationships independent of nested structure. Bioenergy cropping significantly reduces the spatiotemporal scaling rates, particularly in sandy loam soils.

This study combines full‐field tomography with diffraction mapping to quantify radial (ε002$\varepsilon _{002}$) and axial (ε100$\varepsilon _{100}$) lattice strain in wrinkled carbon‐fiber specimens for the first time. Radial microstrain gradients (−14.5 µεMPa$\varepsilon \mathrm{MPa}$−1) are found to signal damage‐prone zones ahead of failure, which ...

A bifunctional lactate oxidase‐like and catalase‐like artificial enzyme (Metazyme) is integrated into a rod‐shaped microgel (MetaRgel) to enable cascade lactate oxidation and oxygen regeneration. By reprogramming the wound metabolic microenvironment, MetaRgel alleviates excessive lactate accumulation, oxidative stress, hypoxia, and inflammation ...

IMMEDIATE IMPLANTS AND RIDGE PRESERVATION
Introduction: Loss of teeth leads to resorption of the alveolar bone. Dental implants are usually placed a few months after dental extraction, but recently dentists are opting for immediate implants which show the potential of alveolar ridge preservation The aim of the work: This literature review is aimed to find the benefits of the immediate implant ...

Decoronation as an option for ridge preservation prior to implant placement [PDF]
Decoronation is a surgical procedure based on idea of sectioning tooth crown and maintaining the root in situ with intention to preclude occurrence of severe deformities of bone and soft tissue which may aggravate later rehabilitation of patient. The aim

Whole‐genome analysis of 1,054 chickens reveals three ancestral sources (NWC, SYA, and SHF) with distinct temporal entry patterns into the Tibetan Plateau. Route‐specific selection scans, calibrated against a demographic null, suggest complementary functional enrichments—vascular homeostasis (NWC), calcium signaling and cardiac adaptation (SYA), and ...
