Abstract An extension of Radon transform by using a measure function capturing the user need is proposed. The new transform, called scale space Radon transform, is devoted to the case where the embedded shape in the image is not filiform. A case study is brought on a straight line and an ellipse where the SSRT behaviour in the scale space and in the ...

Abstract The quality of power in modern‐day power system is polluted with increased penetration of converter‐based distributed generations such as wind farm, solar PV system. In such scenarios detection of islanding and power quality disturbances as well as the removal of these from the system is quite crucial for equipment and maintenance personnel ...

A multiresolution framework for local similarity based image denoising [PDF]
In this paper, we present a generic framework for denoising of images corrupted with additive white Gaussian noise based on the idea of regional similarity.

ABSTRACT Background and Aims Accurate classification of brain tumors is vital for effective treatment planning. Manual assessment of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans is often subjective and time‐consuming. This exploratory study proposes a machine learning approach integrating radiomic features from contrast‐enhanced T1‐weighted MRI scans to ...

Abstract Fossilized food items found in or passed through the digestive tract of an animal (bromalites) offer a window into the dietary habits and ecological role of the producer taxon. Bromalites have been documented from several small to mid‐sized parvipelvian ichthyosaurian species from the Lower Jurassic, but are seldom documented for the largest ...

Active Seismic Exploration of Planetary Subsurfaces via Compressive Sensing
Abstract Geophysical measurements, such as seismic experiments, are a key target for scientific activities on planetary surfaces. Dense spatial sampling of such measurements is often desirable, and acquisition is traditionally performed at regular intervals.

A Note on Fractional Gabor Systems in L2(ℝ)
In this article, fractional Gabor frames in L2(ℝ) are defined and studied. Also, a finite linear combination of fractional Gabor frames for L2(ℝ) is discussed. It is proved that under certain conditions, a finite linear combination of fractional Gabor frames is a fractional Gabor frame for L2(ℝ).
