On the subexponentiality of the ridgelet transform

open access: yesComptes Rendus. Mathématique, 2014
We show that we can consider the ridgelet transform for Wiener functionals as a subexponential random variable. We give an application of this result to random walks.

Ridgelet-type Frame Decompositions for Sobolev Spaces related to Linear Transport [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
In this paper we study stability properties of ridgelet and curvelet frames for mixed-smoothness Sobolev spaces with norm $\|f\|_{s} = \|f\|_{L_{2}(\mathbb{R}^{d})} +\|s\cdot\nabla f\|_{L_{2}(\mathbb{R}^{d})}$ .

Scale Invariant Interest Points with Shearlets

open access: yes, 2016
Shearlets are a relatively new directional multi-scale framework for signal analysis, which have been shown effective to enhance signal discontinuities such as edges and corners at multiple scales.

Multi-scale analysis of the roughness effect on lubricated rough contact [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Determining friction is as equally essential as determining the film thickness in the lubricated contact, and is an important research subject. Indeed, reduction of friction in the automotive industry is important for both the minimization of fuel ...

Extraction of Face Features Using Various Techniques [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
This thesis aims at devising a novel method of feature extraction of face images which proves to be faster and more accurate than the existing methods defined by wavelet, curvelet and ridgelet transforms.

Nonparametric Weight Initialization of Neural Networks via Integral Representation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
A new initialization method for hidden parameters in a neural network is proposed. Derived from the integral representation of the neural network, a nonparametric probability distribution of hidden parameters is introduced.
