Polymorphic Superparaelectric Engineering Boosting Energy Storage Capacity in BaTiO3‐Based Ceramics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Herein, Ca2+ incorporation promotes the coexistence of CaTiO3‐/BaTiO3‐derived paraferroelectric states, stabilizing cubic‐orthorhombic‐tetragonal polymorphic superparaelectric phases. This minimizes polarization energy barriers, facilitating full polarization saturation without compromising efficiency.

Synthesis and crystal structure analysis of the magnetic ternary compound Mn2GeTe4 [PDF]

open access: yesAvances en Química, 2009
Samples of the ternary phase Mn2GeTe4 were synthesized by direct fusion using the anneal method. X-ray powder diffraction results indicated that this material crystallizes with orthorhombic symmetry, space group Pnma, and unit cell parameters: a = 13.950(

Sustainable Materials Design With Multi‐Modal Artificial Intelligence

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Critical mineral scarcity, high embodied carbon, and persistent pollution from materials processing intensify the need for sustainable materials design. This review frames the problem as multi‐objective optimization under heterogeneous, high‐dimensional evidence and highlights multi‐modal AI as an enabling pathway.

Crystallographic changes in lead zirconate titanate due to neutron irradiation

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2014
Piezoelectric and ferroelectric materials are useful as the active element in non-destructive monitoring devices for high-radiation areas. Here, crystallographic structural refinement (i.e., the Rietveld method) is used to quantify the type and extent of

Characterization and densification of defect pyrochlore oxide powders ABi2Ta5O16 (A=Na, Tl)

open access: yesHeliyon, 2019
Defect pyrochlore oxide powders ABi2Ta5O16, in the pseudo-binary systems BiTaO4–ATa3O8 (A = Na, Tl), were prepared by solid state method. The structural study showed that all oxides crystallize in a cubic system with the space group Fd3m, the lattice ...

X-ray study of potassium feldspars from different granitoid types and gneisses of Papuk Mt. (Slavonia, Croatia)

open access: yesGeologia Croatica, 2011
Potassium feldspars from different granitoids and gneisses of Papuk Mt. (Slavonia, Croatia) have been investigated by X-ray powder diffraction. Diffraction patterns classically observed as well as patterns calculated by Rietveld refinement were compared ...

Morphological and Crystallographic Characterization of Nanoparticles by Granulometry Image Analysis and Rietveld Refinement Methods

open access: yesIranian Journal of Chemistry & Chemical Engineering, 2019
The particle size distribution of the resultant cobalt ferrite samples was determined from Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) images using the granulometry image analysis method. Results showed the nanosized particles of the samples. The X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) patterns of samples were also analyzed by Rietveld refinement method.

Manipulating Atomic Disorder and Mesoscale Architectures for High‐Efficiency Thermoelectric Modules

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The in situ reaction of PbTiO3 precursor reacts in situ with the Bi0.5Sb1.5Te3 matrix, effectively enlarging the energy barrier for minority carrier excitation and suppressing bipolar diffusion, and predominantly scattering mid‐to‐low frequency phonons. Ultimately, a single thermoelectric module was fabricated to achieve a competitive efficiency of ∼7%
