Molecular characterization of covRS mutations in M1UK Streptococcus pyogenes

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Group A Streptococcus (GAS) acquires covRS mutations driving a hypervirulent bacterial state, frequently associated with invasive disease‐like necrotizing fasciitis. We demonstrate that the newly emerged M1UK GAS lineage can also acquire these mutations.

Research on the Elastic Loss Characteristics of Acoustic Echoes from Underwater Corner Reflector

open access: yesSensors
The underwater corner reflector is a “concave” elastic structure, and its acoustic echo exhibits large elastic loss, which affects its practical use. To study the acoustic echo elastic loss characteristics of underwater corner reflectors, based on the ...

Super‐Refractory Status Epilepticus (SRSE) in a Patient With Compound Heterozygous OPA1 Variants: Case Report and Literature Review

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Super‐Refractory Status Epilepticus (SRSE) is a rare, life‐threatening neurological emergency with unclear etiology in many cases. Mitochondrial dysfunction, often due to disease‐causing genetic variants, is increasingly recognized as a cause, with each gene producing distinct pathophysiological mechanisms.

Non-rigidity Degree of a Lattice and Rigid Lattices

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Combinatorics, 2001
Voronoi defined a partition of the cone of positive semidefinite \(n\)-ary forms into \(L\)-type domains. Each \(L\)-type domain is an open polyhedral cone of dimension \(k\), \(1\leq k\leq{n(n+1)\over 2}\), where \(n\) is the number of variables and dimension of the corresponding lattice.

Clustering Algorithm Reveals Dopamine‐Motor Mismatch in Cognitively Preserved Parkinson's Disease

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To explore the relationship between dopaminergic denervation and motor impairment in two de novo Parkinson's disease (PD) cohorts. Methods n = 249 PD patients from Parkinson's Progression Markers Initiative (PPMI) and n = 84 from an external clinical cohort.

Brainstem and Cerebellar Volume Loss and Associated Clinical Features in Progressive Supranuclear Palsy

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) is a neurodegenerative ‘tauopathy’ with predominating pathology in the basal ganglia and midbrain. Caudal tau spread frequently implicates the cerebellum; however, the pattern of atrophy remains equivocal.

Almost entire solutions of the Burgers equation

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2018
We consider Burgers equation on the whole x-t plane. We require the solution to be classical everywhere, except possibly over a closed set S of potential singularities, which is (a) a subset of a countable union of ordered graphs of differentiable
