Enhancing synchronization in chaotic oscillators by induced heterogeneity

open access: yes, 2017
We report enhancing of complete synchronization in identical chaotic oscillators when their interaction is mediated by a mismatched oscillator. The identical oscillators now interact indirectly through the intermediate relay oscillator.

Oscillator phase noise: a tutorial [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
Linear time-invariant (LTI) phase noise theories provide important qualitative design insights but are limited in their quantitative predictive power.

An Artificial Muscle Ring Oscillator [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE/ASME Transactions on Mechatronics, 2012
Dielectric elastomer artificial muscles have great potential for the creation of novel pumps, motors, and circuitry. Control of these devices requires an oscillator, either as a driver or clock circuit, which is typically provided as part of bulky, rigid, and costly external electronics. Oscillator circuits based on piezo-resistive dielectric elastomer

Low noise cryogenic dielectric resonator oscillator [PDF]

open access: yes, 1988
A microwave oscillator is provided which can operate at a temperature of many degrees above absolute zero while providing very low phase noise that has heretofore generally required temperatures within a few degrees K.

A 90μW 12MHz Relaxation Oscillator with a -162dB FOM [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
A relaxation oscillator exploits a noise filtering technique implemented with a switched-capacitor circuit to minimize phase noise. A 65nm CMOS design produces a sawtooth waveform, has a frequency tuning range of 1 to 12MHz and a constant frequency ...

Effects of phase noise in heavily beam loaded storage rings [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
Synchrotron oscillations in a storage ring can be driven by noise in the storage ring RF system. For phase noise in the master oscillator, which falls off exponentially with frequency, we show that beam oscillations can become significant in cases of ...

Lattice oscillator model, scattering theory and a many-body problem

open access: yes, 2011
We propose a model for the quantum harmonic oscillator on a discrete lattice which can be written in supersymmetric form, in contrast with the more direct discretization of the harmonic oscillator.

Chaotic Dynamics of a Free Particle Interacting Linearly with a Harmonic Oscillator

open access: yes, 2005
We study the closed Hamiltonian dynamics of a free particle moving on a ring, over one section of which it interacts linearly with a single harmonic oscillator.

Varactor tuned ring resonatormicrowave oscillator

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 1996
A varactor tuned X-band microwave oscillator using a ring resonator side coupled to a microstrip line is presented. The tuning range of the oscillator is linear and the circuit is implemented using planar processing technology. It can also easily be implemented at millimeter wavelengths. The design guidelines are presented.
