Nanorod photonic crystal ring resonators
In this study, we shed light on the properties of a photonic ring resonator made up of a closed array of circular dielectric nanorods arranged periodically in a background material. This type of resonator can reach high-quality factors (Q-factor) for specific transverse-magnetic (TM)-like modes, while maintaining a small footprint.

TWO-LAYERED QUASIOPTICAL SAPPHIRE RESONATOR FOR BIOLIQUIDS DIELECTROMETRY [PDF]
WGM resonators can be used for studies of condensed matter, especially for the study of the dielectric liquids properties. However, the electromagnetic properties of the real resonator structures are not well understood.

A Novel Dual-Mode Dual-Band Bandpass Filter Based on a Single Ring Resonator [PDF]
In this paper, a dual-mode bandpass filter that operates in two different bands is proposed. A circular patch with a small circular hole is set as the basic resonator, and, as the circular hole moves, the linewidth of the ring resonator becomes non ...

Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Dual-Band Reconfigurable Antenna for Polarization Diversity
This paper proposes a dual-band reconfigurable square-ring antenna with a polarization diversity property. The proposed antenna consists of a square-ring resonator, two stubs with a shorting via, and two PIN diodes.

Integrated multi vector vortex beam generator
A novel method to generate and manipulate vector vortex beams in an integrated, ring resonator based geometry is proposed. We show numerically that a ring resonator, with an appropriate grating, addressed by a vertically displaced access waveguide emits ...
