Spin effects in a quantum ring [PDF]

open access: yesPhysica E: Low-dimensional Systems and Nanostructures, 2005
Recent experiments that are reviewed explore the spin states of a ring-shaped many-electron quantum dot. Coulomb-blockade spectroscopy is used to access the spin degree of freedom. The Zeeman effect observed for states with successive electron number allows to select possible sequences of spin ground states of the ring.

Numerical and experimental study of the influence of nozzle flow parameters on yarn production by jet-ring spinning

open access: yesAlexandria Engineering Journal, 2018
Yarn hairiness is defined as the protruding fibers and loops standing out of the core of the yarns. Effect of yarn hairiness on different post processes, and its influence on the characteristics of the product obtained, has led to attempts at reducing ...

Basis of the parameters of the spin extractor tool on the interned spinning machine [PDF]

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences, 2023
The article presents an effective new constructive scheme and the principle of operation of the exhaust device of the ring spinning machine. The mathematical model and the results of solving the problem of oscillations of the axis of the composite ...

Sliding rings and spinning holes [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2006
We construct smooth supergravity solutions describing a BPS black ring with a BPS black hole centered at an arbitrary distance above the ring. We find that as one moves the black hole the entropy of the ring remains constant, but the angular momentum coming from the supergravity fluxes changes. Our solutions also show that in order to merge a BPS black

The Spinning Ring [PDF]

open access: yesNature, 1891
BISHOP COURTENAY'S questions may perhaps be clearly answered as follows. The centrifugal force of a free spinning hoop has to be balanced by its peripheral tension; but this, having a large tangential and a small radial component, acts at disadvantage, and may have to be very big to balance even a moderate centrifugal force.

An intelligent weavable dyeing method for the environmentally-friendly dyeing of fabric

open access: yesAlexandria Engineering Journal, 2021
Yarn-dyed textiles are complementary to digital printing textiles. They promise high production and environmentally-friendly energy efficiencies. However, the complicated structures of color-blended composite yarns cause unpredictability of colors in ...

Closed-loop Mechanical Recycling Opportunities in Industrial Cotton Wastes

open access: yesJournal of Natural Fibers, 2022
Reusing industrial wastes in textile production is essential to reduce the total environmental burden of textile products. This study proved that the wastes generated in the ring-spinning process of a lightweight cotton shirting-producing company could ...

PERSISTENT SPIN CURRENT AND ENTANGLEMENT IN THE ANISOTROPIC SPIN RING [PDF]

open access: yesModern Physics Letters B, 2007
We investigate the ground state persistent spin current and the pair entanglement in one-dimensional antiferromagnetic anisotropic Heisenberg ring with twisted boundary conditions. By solving Bethe ansatz equations numerically, we calculate the dependence of the ground state energy on the total magnetic flux through the ring, and the resulting ...

The Production of cotton yarns with open-end spinning with excellent quality and cost

open access: yesJournal of Architecture, Art & Humanistic Science, 2020
Open end spinning is one of the final spinning techniques used in the production of cotton yarn, and is characterized by increased production and reduced economic cost, and due to the low spread of open-end yarn technology, and limited production despite
