Modeling the temperatures of traveler and ring in ring spinning

open access: yesTextile Reseach Journal, 2023
Ring spinning is the dominant system of manufacturing high-quality yarns in the textile industry. Spinning parameters affect the spinning tension distribution and consequently the temperatures of the ring/traveler system. Excessive traveler heat will limit the spindle speed and the efficiency of yarn production.

Study on Spinning triangles in the common ring spinning and Super draft ring spinning systems

Fibers and Polymers, 2016
In the paper, one kind of super draft ring spinning frame with four drafting rollers and corresponding three drafting zones were introduced. The yarn qualities spun by the super draft ring spinning frame were analyzed by studying the shape of spinning triangles.

Simulation and experimental validation of a ring spinning process

open access: yesSimulation Modelling Practice and Theory, 2006
Ring spinning is the most important system of making high quality yarns in the textile industry. Yarn tension affects yarn breakage, which in turn affects yarn productivity in ring spinning.

Spin Rings in Semiconductor Microcavities

Physical Review Letters, 2008
New effects of self-organization and polarization pattern formation in semiconductor microcavities, operating in the nonlinear regime, are predicted and theoretically analyzed. We show that a spatially inhomogeneous elliptically polarized optical cw pump leads to the formation of a strongly circularly polarized ring in real space. This effect is due to

Nuclear-spin relaxation in magnetic rings

Physical Review B, 1998
In magnetic rings of transition-metal ions, electron-spin correlations are found to exhibit rather unusual dynamical features, as a result of a subtle interplay between finite-size effects and magnetic interactions distinctly smaller than the dominant Heisenberg exchange Hamiltonian.
