On Certain Divisibility Property of Polynomials [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
We review the definition of D-rings introduced by H. Gunji & D. L. MacQuillan. We provide an alternative characterization for such rings that allows us to give an elementary proof of that a ring of algebraic integers is a D-ring.

Poincar\'e series of modules over compressed Gorenstein local rings

open access: yes, 2014
Given positive integers e and s we consider Gorenstein Artinian local rings R of embedding dimension e whose maximal ideal $\mathfrak{m}$ satisfies $\mathfrak{m}^s\ne 0=\mathfrak{m}^{s+1}$.

High‐Rate FA‐Based Co‐Evaporated Perovskites: Understanding Rate Limitations and Practical Considerations to Overcome Their Impact

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Vacuum‐based deposition is promising for perovskite solar cells to be successfully commercialized. However, co‐evaporation, the most common vapor phase deposition technique, suffers from very low deposition rates. In this work, we reveal that high deposition rates can lead to carbon flakes depositing into the perovskite absorber layers due to material ...

On generalized Rédei functions

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 1988
A generalization of Rédei functions to polynomial vectors in n indeterminates over finite fields or residue class rings of integers is given by considering special types of polynomial vectors.

Residuated Lattices with Noetherian Spectrum

open access: yesMathematics, 2022
In this paper, we characterize residuated lattices for which the topological space of prime ideals is a Noetherian space. The notion of i-Noetherian residuated lattice is introduced and related properties are investigated.

Hermitian lattices and bounds in K-theory of algebraic integers [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Elaborating on a method of Soul\'e, and using better estimates for the geometry of hermitian lattices, we improve the upper bounds for the torsion part of the K-theory of the rings of integers of number fields.Comment: 11 pages.

Multimodal Structural Color Graphics Based on Colloidal Photonic Microdome Arrays

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A hybrid photonic system combining colloidal crystals and microscale domes is designed to achieve four switchable optical states via the interplay of Bragg reflection and TIR interference. The graphics composed of the photonic microdome arrays provide tunable, angle‐sensitive structural coloration and concealed‐to‐revealed transitions, offering a ...

On Quillen's calculation of graded $K$-theory

open access: yes, 2011
We adapt Quillen's calculation of graded K-groups of Z-graded rings with support in N to graded K-theory, allowing gradings in a product Z \times G with G an arbitrary group. This in turn allows us to use inductions and calculate graded K-theory of Z^

Encoding Magnetic Anisotropies in Digital Light Processing 3D Printing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A hybrid magnetic device—combining a coaxial coil within a nested Halbach array—is presented, integrated into a DLP 3D printer to enable spatially resolved magnetic field control. This system enables complex, multimodal responses by programming liquid crystal elastomer resins for magnetic and thermal actuation, and by inducing electrically conductive ...

On rings of integers generated by their units

open access: yes, 2011
We give an affirmative answer to the following question by Jarden and Narkiewicz: Is it true that every number field has a finite extension L such that the ring of integers of L is generated by its units (as a ring)? As a part of the proof, we generalize
