Nondestructive Testing of Welded Composite Metal Foams
X‐ray computed tomography (CT) is used to evaluate welded steel–steel composite metal foam (CMF) joints of two density classes. It reports variation in postweld spatial void distribution and correlates it to weld‐induced changes, mechanical performance, and failure within welded CMF panels.

CF-RIP: a convergence-free mechanism for RIP protocol
In order to solve the problem of distance vector routing protocol converge very slowly to the correct routes when link costs increase,a new convergence-free routing protocol CF-RIP using RIP(routing information protocol) was proposed, which is based on ...

Rip Cosmology via Inhomogeneous Fluid
The conditions for the appearance of the Little Rip, Pseudo Rip and Quasi Rip universes in the terms of the parameters in the equation of state of some dark fluid are investigated. Several examples of the Rip cosmologies are investigated.

Evolution of linked avirulence effectors in Leptosphaeria maculans is affected by genomic environment and exposure to resistance genes in host plants [PDF]
Brassica napus (canola) cultivars and isolates of the blackleg fungus, Leptosphaeria maculans interact in a ‘gene for gene’ manner whereby plant resistance (R) genes are complementary to pathogen avirulence (Avr) genes.

Bio‐based and (semi‐)synthetic zwitterion‐modified novel materials and fully synthetic next‐generation alternatives show the importance of material design for different biomedical applications. The zwitterionic character affects the physiochemical behavior of the material and deepens the understanding of chemical interaction mechanisms within the ...

Average-case Hardness of RIP Certification [PDF]
The restricted isometry property (RIP) for design matrices gives guarantees for optimal recovery in sparse linear models. It is of high interest in compressed sensing and statistical learning.

Strings at future singularities
We discuss the behaviour of strings propagating in spacetimes which allow future singularities of either a sudden future or a Big-Rip type. We show that in general the invariant string size remains finite at sudden future singularities while it grows to ...

Deterministic Construction of Binary, Bipolar and Ternary Compressed Sensing Matrices [PDF]
In this paper we establish the connection between the Orthogonal Optical Codes (OOC) and binary compressed sensing matrices. We also introduce deterministic bipolar $m\times n$ RIP fulfilling $\pm 1$ matrices of order $k$ such that $m\leq\mathcal{O}\big ...
