Restricted Isometry Property for General p-Norms [PDF]
The Restricted Isometry Property (RIP) is a fundamental property of a matrix which enables sparse recovery. Informally, an $m \times n$ matrix satisfies RIP of order $k$ for the $\ell_p$ norm, if $\|Ax\|_p \approx \|x\|_p$ for every vector $x$ with at ...

A Systematic Comparison of Alpha‐Synuclein Seed Amplification Assays for Increasing Reproducibility
ABSTRACT Seed amplification assays (SAAs) enable ultrasensitive detection of misfolded α‐synuclein across biofluids and tissues. Yet, heterogeneity in protocols limits cross‐study comparability and clinical translation. Here, we review α‐synuclein SAA methods and their performance across various biological matrices.

Restricted Conformal Property of Compressive Sensing
Energy and direction are tow basic properties of a vector. A discrete signal is a vector in nature. RIP of compressive sensing can not show the direction information of a signal but show the energy information of a signal.

Objective The study aimed to identify symptom‐based predictors of dry eye disease (DED) signs in the Sjögren's International Collaborative Clinical Alliance (SICCA) cohort. Methods We performed a retrospective analysis examining 16 ocular symptoms (most graded 0–4) and artificial tear (AT) use (graded 0–3) as predictors of DED signs (abnormal ocular ...

Tradeoff between Smoother and Sooner "Little Rip"
There exists dark energy models that predict the occurrence of "little rip". At the point of little rip the Hubble rate and its cosmic time derivative approach infinity, which is quite similar to the big rip singularity except that the former happens at ...

Scientists' coping strategies in an evolving research system: the case of life scientists in the UK [PDF]
Scientists in academia have struggled to adjust to a policy climate of uncertain funding and loss of freedom from direction and control. How UK life scientists have negotiated this challenge, and with what consequences for their research and the research

The generation and stabilization of rip - current circulation patterns is considered herein. An analytic model is developed to simulate the wave hydrodynamic processes in the nearshore zone, strongly influenced by the local bottom topography. The wave induced nearshore circulation pattern is computed and the results compared to prototype field data.

Harnessing Fungal Biowelding for Constructing Mycelium‐Engineered Materials
Mycelium‐bound composites (MBCs) offer low‐carbon alternatives for construction, yet interfacial bonding remains a critical challenge. This review examines fungal biowelding as a biocompatible adhesive, elucidating mycelium‐mediated interfacial mechanisms and their role in material assembly. Strategies to optimize biowelding are discussed, highlighting

Expression of the RIP-1 Gene and its Role in Growth and Invasion of Human Gallbladder Carcinoma
Background and Aim: Receptor interacting protein(RIP)-1 is thought to have a significant role in inflammation signaling pathways; however, the role of RIP-1 in malignant tumors is largely unknown.

Presenilin: RIP and beyond [PDF]
Over the years the presenilins (PSENs), a family of multi-transmembrane domain proteins, have been ascribed a number of diverse potential functions. Recent in vivo evidence has supported the existence of PSEN functions beyond its well-established role in regulated intramembrane proteolysis. In this review, we will briefly discuss the ability of PSEN to
