Innate immunity shapes the persistent transmission of plant viruses by insect vectors

open access: yesNew Plant Protection, Volume 3, Issue 2, June 2026.
In this review, we focus on two key aspects of the virus–vector interplay: (1) persistently transmitted viruses utilize host factors to overcome transmission barriers; and (2) molecular recognition activates antiviral immunity and subsequent viral counter‐defense. Understanding these interactions offers critical insights for developing novel strategies

Operating systems for RISC-V based processors

open access: yes
Processors based on the RISC-V Instruction Set Architecture (ISA) are gaining popularity. Unlike proprietary ISAs such as ARM or x86, RISC-V is open source and has no licensing fees. While the instructions defined by RISC-V are very simple, RISC-V offers

A scoping review on the mental health of disaster responders for natural disasters in Japan

open access: yesPsychiatry and Clinical Neurosciences Reports, Volume 5, Issue 2, June 2026.
This scoping review synthesized 55 studies (1997–2025) on the mental health of disaster responders in Japan following natural disasters. Mental health outcomes varied by occupation, with higher prevalence among healthcare workers, local government employees, and nuclear power plant workers, and lower prevalence among firefighters and JGSDF personnel ...

A memory model for RISC-V

open access: yes, 2017
Historically memory models for multiprocessors have not been designed deliberately but have just emerged. Practically every microarchitectural optimization, which is transparent in a single threaded setting, becomes programmatically visible in a multithreaded setting. This has created a cottage industry for masochists who try to classify and understand

Comparative Effectiveness of Resilience‐Focused Psychological Interventions on Resilience, Anxiety, and Depression in Patients With Cancer: A Network Meta‐Analysis of Randomized Controlled Trials

open access: yesPsycho-Oncology, Volume 35, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Patients with cancer often experience psychological distress, which can reduce resilience, increase anxiety, and depression. Resilience‐focused psychological interventions have been increasingly implemented; however, their comparative effectiveness remains unclear, as existing evidence is largely limited to pairwise comparisons ...

Gene‐specific double‐stranded RNAs induce mortality in the South African mealybug Delottococcus aberiae

open access: yesPest Management Science, Volume 82, Issue 6, Page 5184-5194, June 2026.
Gene‐specific double‐stranded RNAs effectively silence essential genes in the invasive citrus pest Delottococcus aberiae, leading to significant mortality through both microinjection and oral delivery. These results provide proof of concept for RNA interference‐based biopesticides as selective and sustainable tools for citrus integrated pest management.
