Nuclear pore links Fob1‐dependent rDNA damage relocation to lifespan control

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Damaged rDNA accumulates at a specific perinuclear interface that couples nucleolar escape with nuclear envelope association. Nuclear pores at this site help inhibit Fob1‐induced rDNA instability. This spatial organization of damage handling supports a functional link between nuclear architecture, rDNA stability, and replicative lifespan in yeast.

Validation of Sea Surface Winds From the Space-Borne Radiometer COWVR

open access: yesIEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Applied Earth Observations and Remote Sensing
This study aims to validate sea surface wind data derived from the compact ocean wind vector radiometer (COWVR) onboard the International Space Station. The COWVR, a fully polarimetric and two-look microwave radiometer, provides wind direction and speed ...

Measuring the Consistency of Phytosanitary Measures [PDF]

open access: yes
The paper presents a model for quantifying quarantine-related phytosanitary measures by combining the two basic components of pest risk assessment, probability of establishment and economic effects, into a single management framework, Iso-Risk. The model

Enhancing Oncological Care for India's Aging Population: Addressing the Complex Needs of Older Adults With Cancer

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
Aging‐associated physiological and molecular alterations pose significant challenges in cancer management among India's elderly. Limited geriatric oncology expertise, financial constraints, and inadequate specialized care exacerbate disparities. Strategic expansion of insurance coverage, integration of palliative care, and infrastructural advancements ...

Understanding the Relationship Between South Pacific Oscillation and ENSO

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters
The boreal summer South Pacific Oscillation (SPO), the dominant mode of atmospheric variability over the South Pacific, has been proposed as a potential precursor to the development of El Niño‐Southern Oscillation (ENSO). However, this study demonstrates

Arctic Sea Ice and Open Water Classification From Dual-Polarization Synthetic Aperture Radar Imagery and Deep Learning Models

open access: yesIEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Applied Earth Observations and Remote Sensing
In this study, we present a deep learning (DL)-based method for classifying Arctic sea ice and open water using spaceborne C-band RADARSAT-2 dual-polarization (HH, HV) synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images. The HH- and HV-polarization radar.
