Clinical applications of next‐generation sequencing‐based ctDNA analyses in breast cancer: defining treatment targets and dynamic changes during disease progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a possibility for different applications in early and late stage breast cancer management. In early breast cancer tumor informed approaches are increasingly used for detecting molecular residual disease (MRD) and early recurrence. In advanced stage, ctDNA provides a possibility for monitoring disease progression and

Modeling the risk process in the XploRe computing environment [PDF]

open access: yes
A user friendly approach to modeling the risk process is presented. It utilizes the insurance library of the XploRe computing environment which is accompanied by on-line, hyperlinked and freely downloadable from the web manuals and e-books. The empirical

Risk identification of events [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
The three-factors of risk identification, risk control, and health and safety play a significant role in every event in three different areas (pre, during and post event). This research examines the importance of three factors at an organisation.

Circulating tumor cells in metastatic breast cancer patients treated with immune checkpoint inhibitors – a biomarker analysis of the ALICE and ICON trials

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this explorative biomarker analysis, we assessed serial sampling of circulating tumor cells (CTCs) with CellSearch in two randomized trials testing immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) in metastatic breast cancer. Our data demonstrate a prognostic potential of CTCs, most apparent 4 weeks into ICI therapy.

Strong earthquake results in regional die-off and degradation of alpine wetlands in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau: Implications for management and restoration

open access: yesEcological Indicators, 2022
Strong earthquakes can have negative effects on various ecosystems, including farmlands, grasslands, and coasts. However, reports of how strong earthquakes affect the biodiversity and ecosystem functions of alpine wetlands are lacking.

Circulating tumor cells: advancing personalized therapy in small cell lung cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Small cell lung cancer (SCLC) is an aggressive form of lung cancer that spreads rapidly to secondary sites such as the brain and liver. Cancer cells circulating in the blood, “circulating tumor cells” (CTCs), have demonstrated prognostic value in SCLC, and evaluating biomarkers on CTCs could guide treatment decisions such as for PARP inhibitors ...

Biodegradation of bezafibrate by the activated sludge under aerobic condition: Effect of initial concentration, temperature and pH

open access: yesEmerging Contaminants, 2016
Lab-scale experiments were conducted to investigate the effect of initial concentration, temperature and pH on the removal of bezafibrate (BF) by activated sludge under aerobic condition. The results showed that adsorption of BF onto activated sludge was
