Reinforcing Particle Architectural Stability of Li‐Rich Cathode With Enhanced Anionic Redox Reaction Reversibility

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
In this work, we establish a direct correlation between internal compactness and particle architectural stability, identifying it as a key descriptor of cathode structural integrity. Simultaneously, the capacity contribution and compensation mechanism of ARR are resolved, revealing that the extent of irreversible capacity loss is governed by both the ...

RIXS interferometry and the role of disorder in the quantum magnet Ba_{3}Ti_{3−x}Ir_{x}O_{9}

open access: yesPhysical Review Research, 2023
Motivated by several claims of spin-orbit-driven spin-liquid physics in hexagonal Ba_{3}Ti_{3−x}Ir_{x}O_{9} hosting Ir_{2}O_{9} dimers, we report on resonant inelastic x-ray scattering (RIXS) at the Ir L_{3} edge for different x.

A new satellite of manganese revealed by extended-range high-energy-resolution fluorescence detection

open access: yesJournal of Synchrotron Radiation, 2023
The discovery of a new physical process in manganese metal is reported. This process will also be present for all manganese-containing materials in condensed matter.

Multi-spinon and antiholon excitations probed by resonant inelastic x-ray scattering on doped one-dimensional antiferromagnets

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2018
Resonant inelastic x-ray scattering (RIXS) at the oxygen K -edge has recently accessed multi-spinon excitations in the one-dimensional antiferromagnet (1D-AFM) Sr _2 CuO _3 , where four-spinon excitations are resolved separately from the two-spinon ...

Two-dimensional Kβ-Kα fluorescence spectrum by nonlinear resonant inelastic X-ray scattering

open access: yesNature Communications, 2023
High sensitivity of the Kβ fluorescence spectrum to electronic state is widely used to investigate spin and oxidation state of first-row transition-metal compounds.

Emergent 3D Fermiology and Magnetism in an Intercalated Van der Waals System

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An emergent three‐dimensional electronic state is uncovered in an intercalated van der Waals system. A spin‐polarized intercalant‐host hybridized band crossing the Fermi level provides an itinerant channel for interlayer exchange, highlighting how electronic dispersion governs magnetic dimensionality.

Electron Dynamics in the Core-Excited CS_{2} Molecule Revealed through Resonant Inelastic X-Ray Scattering Spectroscopy

open access: yesPhysical Review X, 2015
We present an experimental and theoretical study of resonant inelastic x-ray scattering (RIXS) in the carbon disulphide CS_{2} molecule near the sulfur K-absorption edge.

Advancing Energy Materials by In Situ Atomic Scale Methods

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, Volume 15, Issue 11, March 18, 2025.
Progress in in situ atomic scale methods leads to an improved understanding of new and advanced energy materials, where a local understanding of complex, inhomogeneous systems or interfaces down to the atomic scale and quantum level is required. Topics from photovoltaics, dissipation losses, phase transitions, and chemical energy conversion are ...

Resonant inelastic x-ray scattering at the actinide M_{4,5}-edges

open access: yesPhysical Review Research
Understanding the electronic structure of actinide materials is crucial for both fundamental research and nuclear applications. The partially filled 5f shells exhibit complex behavior due to strong correlations and ligand hybridization, requiring ...
