Technological Innovations and Applications of Spatial Transcriptomics in Livestock and Poultry Research

open access: yesAnimal Research and One Health, EarlyView.
The paper is divided into three main sections: a review of the development of spatial transcriptomics technology, its applications in livestock and poultry research, and its future prospects. This article provides an overview of the current state of spatial transcriptomics in animal research, exploring its integration with multiomics technologies as ...

TRIB3 suppresses milk fatty acids metabolism by inhibiting p‐AKT/PPARG signaling in goat mammary epithelial cells

open access: yesAnimal Research and One Health, EarlyView.
In this study, it revealed that TRIB3 could mediate the transcriptional activity of PPARG, inhibit the phosphorylation of akt, and reduce the expression of lipid metabolism‐related genes, thus inhibiting TAG synthesis and affecting fatty acid composition.

A Versatile Disulfide‐Containing Solid‐Support Strategy for 3′‐Modifiers in Oligonucleotides: Introducing Modular Tandem Oligonucleotide Synthesis

open access: yesChemistry – An Asian Journal, EarlyView.
We report a versatile disulfide‐containing linkage to solid support that enables on‐column synthesis of DNA and RNA containing a 3′‐amino or 3′‐phosphate group. This orthogonal solid‐support linker enables a protecting group strategy for the synthesis of oligonucleotides containing 3′‐amino‐2′,3′‐dideoxyribosides directly from commercially available ...

Mitochondria and Endoplasmic Reticulum Contact Site as a Regulator of Proteostatic Stress Responses in Neurodegenerative Diseases

open access: yesBioEssays, EarlyView.
Recent findings indicate that mitochondria‐associated membranes (MAMs), where the endoplasmic reticulum directly contacts the mitochondria, are a novel microdomain essential for cellular homeostasis, including proteostasis. We summarize the disruption of protein homeostasis and MAM alteration in neurodegenerative diseases, then discuss challenges and ...

Hijacking the MDM2 E3 Ligase with novel BRD4‐Targeting PROTACs in Pancreatic Cancer Cells

open access: yesChemBioChem, Accepted Article.
The phenotypic effect induced by a Proteolysis‐Targeting Chimera (PROTAC) can depend on several factors, including the E3 ligase recruited. For the discovery of a first‐in‐class PROTAC for a target of interest, the E3 ligases commonly hijacked remain the Von Hippel‐Lindau (VHL) and Cereblon (CRBN) since potent and accessible ligands are readily ...

Chromenone derivatives as CRM1 Inhibitors for Targeting Glioblastoma

open access: yesChemBioChem, Accepted Article.
Glioblastoma (GBM) is one of the most aggressive and deadly cancers. Due to the complexity and redundancy within signaling networks in GBM, targeted inhibitors of specific pathways have shown only limited success. The nuclear export receptor Chromosome Region Maintenance 1 (CRM1) has recently emerged as a promising therapeutic target, as its inhibition
