The role of circular RNAs in regulating cytokine signaling in cancer
Cytokines present in the tumor microenvironment fuel cancer development. Aberrant expression of circRNAs contributes to cancer progression. Cytokines are involved in regulating circRNA biogenesis. Furthermore, aberrantly expressed circRNAs regulate the expression of ligands, receptors, and downstream effectors involved in cytokine signaling to promote ...

FEM1B enhances TRAIL‐induced apoptosis in T lymphocytes and monocytes
FEM1B facilitates TRAIL‐induced apoptosis through distinct mechanisms in T lymphocytes and monocytes. In T lymphocytes, FEM1B engages with TRAF2, leading to a reduction in TRAF2 expression, which subsequently lessens TRAF2's inhibitory influence on caspase‐8.

The Regulation of Trace Metal Elements in Cancer Ferroptosis
The induction of ferroptosis inhibits tumor growth, enhances anticancer efficacy, and overcomes drug resistance. Recent evidence shows nonferrous metal elements play a role in ferroptosis. This review focuses on how trace metals regulate ferroptosis processes like iron accumulation, lipid peroxidation, and antioxidant defense.

CDK12 is a transcriptional cyclin-dependent kinase (CDK) that interacts with cyclin K to regulate different aspects of gene expression. The CDK12-cyclin K complex phosphorylates several substrates, including RNA polymerase II (Pol II), and thereby ...

E3-targetPred: Prediction of E3-Target Proteins Using Deep Latent Space Encoding [PDF]
Understanding E3 ligase and target substrate interactions are important for cell biology and therapeutic development. However, experimental identification of E3 target relationships is not an easy task due to the labor-intensive nature of the experiments. In this article, a sequence-based E3-target prediction model is proposed for the first time.

Predicting RNA-small molecule binding sites by 3D structure [PDF]
The prediction of RNA-small molecule binding sites is crucial for the discovery of effective drugs. Various computational methods have been developed to address this challenge, using information about the structure and sequence of RNA. In this study, we introduce CplxCavity, a combination of a new algorithm and a machine learning model specifically ...

Editosome Accessory Factors KREPB9 and KREPB10 in Trypanosoma brucei [PDF]
Multiprotein complexes, called editosomes, catalyze the uridine insertion and deletion RNA editing that forms translatable mitochondrial mRNAs in kinetoplastid parasites.
