MapToCleave: High-throughput profiling of microRNA biogenesis in living cells
Summary: Previous large-scale studies have uncovered many features that determine the processing of microRNA (miRNA) precursors; however, they have been conducted in vitro.

Low temperature formation of pyridine and (iso)quinoline via neutral neutral reactions [PDF]
Aromatic molecules represent fundamental building blocks in prebiotic chemistry and are contemplated as vital precursors to DNA and RNA nitrogen bases. However, despite the identification of some 300 molecules in extraterrestrial environments, the pathways to pyridine (C5H5N), pyridinyl (C5H4N), and (iso)quinoline (C9H7N) the simplest representative of

Correlation between circulating innate lymphoid cell precursors and thymic function
Summary: The thymus has a high capacity to support the differentiation of ILCs, especially when E protein transcription factors are ablated. Whether it contributes to the homeostasis of ILC pools in tissues is not clear.

Intronic Alus Influence Alternative Splicing [PDF]
Examination of the human transcriptome reveals higher levels of RNA editing than in any other organism tested to date. This is indicative of extensive double-stranded RNA (dsRNA) formation within the human transcriptome. Most of the editing sites are located in the primate-specific retrotransposed element called Alu.

Schimke immuno-osseous dysplasia (OMIM 242900) is an uncommon autosomal-recessive multisystem disease caused by mutations in SMARCAL1 (swi/snf-related, matrix-associated, actin-dependent regulator of chromatin, subfamily a-like 1), a gene encoding a ...

Shape‐Stabilization of Phase Change Materials with Carbon‐Conscious Poly(hydroxy)Urethane Foams
Poly(hydroxy)urethane (PHU) foam, derivable from carbon dioxide (CO2) and bio‐based resources, is a promising material platform for shape‐stabilizing phase change materials (PCMs). We demonstrate the encapsulation of both paraffins and calcium chloride hexahydrate in PHU foam, achieving 48 stable thermal cycles by introducing 5 wt.% barium carbonate ...
