Elucidating prognostic significance of purine metabolism in colorectal cancer through integrating data from transcriptomic, immunohistochemical, and single‐cell RNA sequencing analysis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Low expression of five purine metabolism‐related genes (ADSL, APRT, ADCY3, NME3, NME6) was correlated with poor survival in colorectal cancer. Immunohistochemistry analysis showed that low NME3 (early stage) and low ADSL/NME6 (late stage) levels were associated with high risk.

Oligonucleotide microarray analysis of aminoallyl-labeled cDNA targets from linear RNA amplification

open access: yesBioTechniques, 2004
Single-stranded long oligonucleotide-based (50- to 70-mer) microarrays offer several advantages over conventional cDNA microarrays. These include the easy preparation of the probes, low cost of array production, and low cross-contamination during probe ...

Enzymatic production of single-molecule FISH and RNA capture probes

open access: yesbioRxiv, 2017
Arrays of singly-labelled short oligonucleotides that hybridize to a specific target revolutionized RNA biology, enabling quantitative, single molecule microscopy analysis and high efficiency RNA/RNP capture.

Nanodiagnostic method for colorimetric detection of Mycobacterium tuberculosis 16S rRNA

open access: yes, 2008
A nanodiagnostic method using nucleic acid sequence-based amplification (NASBA) and gold nanoparticle probes (AuNP probes) was developed for colorimetric detection of Mycobacterium tuberculosis.

Comparing self‐reported race and genetic ancestry for identifying potential differentially methylated sites in endometrial cancer: insights from African ancestry proportions using machine learning models

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Integrating ancestry, differential methylation analysis, and machine learning, we identified robust epigenetic signature genes (ESGs) and Core‐ESGs in Black and White women with endometrial cancer. Core‐ESGs (namely APOBEC1 and PLEKHG5) methylation levels were significantly associated with survival, with tumors from high African ancestry (THA) showing ...

Gene diagnosis of viroids: comparison of return-PAGE and hybridization using DIG-labeled DNA and RNA probes for practical diagnosis of hop stunt, citrus exocortis and apple scar skin viroids in their natural host plants

open access: yes, 1995
Return-PAGE was reliable for diagnosis of HSVd in hop, CEVd in citron and ASSVd in apple, but was not reliable for HSVd in grapevine and citron, and ASSVd in pear, because of their low concentration.

Developmental regulation of expression of the lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) multigene family during mouse spermatogenesis [PDF]

open access: yes, 1990
Expression of the Lactate Dehydrogenase (LDH) genes during various stages of spermatogenesis was studied by using a combination of Northern blot analyses and in situ hybridization techniques.
