Measurement and modeling of diffuse ultraviolet radiation: A review

open access: yesPhotochemistry and Photobiology, EarlyView.
Solar UV radiation consists of direct and diffuse UV components. The diffuse component contributes to the exposure received by humans and to the risk of skin cancer and sun‐related eye disorders. This review aims to determine future research directions for the measurement and modeling of diffuse solar UV radiation.

The Evolution of Breast Cancer Detection: A Review of Imaging, Machine Learning, and Multimodal Strategies

open access: yesComputational and Systems Oncology, Volume 6, Issue 1, December 2026.
ABSTRACT Breast cancer is still a serious problem in the world arena, where its early and prompt detection is the most important factor in improving patient prognosis and survival. The use of traditional diagnostic techniques, such as imaging (e.g., mammography and ultrasound) and subsequent histopathological examination, is the mainstay, which ...

TEAM: A time‐enhanced attention‐based model for virus mutation prediction

open access: yesQuantitative Biology, Volume 14, Issue 4, December 2026.
Abstract The evolution of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS‐CoV‐2) during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID‐19) pandemic highlights the critical need for predicting virus mutations in order to stay ahead of infectious diseases. Here, we present the time‐enhanced attention‐based model (TEAM), which combines phylogenetic sampling ...

Enhancing Reference Tracking in Induction Motor Drives: A Hybrid Model Predictive Control and Artificial Neural Network Approach

open access: yesInternational Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control, Volume 36, Issue 14, Page 6719-6738, 25 September 2026.
ABSTRACT Induction motors (IMs) are widely used in industry for their robustness and cost‐effectiveness, yet their nonlinear and multivariable dynamics pose significant challenges for high‐performance speed control. Model Predictive Control (MPC) is a well‐established solution but suffers from limitations related to model accuracy and parameter ...
