Hand-Held Medical Robots

Annals of Biomedical Engineering, 2014
Medical robots have evolved from autonomous systems to tele-operated platforms and mechanically-grounded, cooperatively-controlled robots. Whilst these approaches have seen both commercial and clinical success, uptake of these robots remains moderate because of their high cost, large physical footprint and long setup times.

Development of anthropomorphic robot hand SKK robot hand I

KSME International Journal, 2003
In this paper, a three-fingered anthropomorphic robot hand, called SKK Robot Hand I, is presented. By employing a two-DOF joint mechanism, called Double Active Universal Joint (abbreviated as DAUJ from now on) as its metacarpal joint, the hand makes it possible to mimic humanlike motions.

Hygrothermic Wood Actuated Robotic Hand

Advanced Materials, 2023
AbstractStimulus–responsive actuators play a vital role in the new generation of intelligent systems. However, poor mechanical performance, complicated fabrication processes, and the inability to complex deformation limit their practical applications.

Robot Hands

2008
Human hands have great potentiality not only for grasping objects of various shapes and dimensions, but also for manipulating them in a dexterous manner. It is common experience that, by training, one can perform acrobatic manipulation of stick-shaped objects, manipulate a pencil by using rolling or sliding motions, perform precise operations requiring

Robotically Enhanced Rubber Hand Illusion

IEEE Transactions on Haptics, 2014
The rubber hand illusion is a well-known multisensory illusion. In brief, watching a rubber hand being stroked by a paintbrush while one's own unseen hand is synchronously stroked causes the rubber hand to be attributed to one's own body and to "feel like it's my hand." The rubber hand illusion is thought to be triggered by the synchronized tactile ...

Robotic Hand Experience

2021
Augmenting rubber hand illusion paradigms extends experimental possibilities and can disentangle human action-perception loops. This chapter presents technical and experimental merits with a focus on tactile feedback and the influence of delays. A pilot study proofs the applicability of the RobHI setup with tactile feedback. Additionally, two extensive

Ca.U.M.Ha. robotic hand (Cassino-Underactuated-Multifinger-Hand)

2007 IEEE/ASME international conference on advanced intelligent mechatronics, 2007
The mechatronic design of Ca.U.M.Ha. (Cassino-Underactuated-Multifinger-Hand) and the analysis of some experimental grasping tests of a built prototype are presented in this paper. Ca.U.M.Ha. robotic hand shows an anthropomorphic design since provided of four articulated fingers and a simplified contrasting thumb, which are all joined to a rigid palm ...

The Jimu Robots Robot Hand

2017
In addition to the robot vehicles and other things that I have taught in this book, I thought it would be good to spotlight another project that many will want to do: the robotic hand or robot hand.

Dexterous Underwater Robot Hand: HEU Hand II

2006 International Conference on Mechatronics and Automation, 2006
Manipulator is the most important part for underwater flexible robot manipulation, and the grasping and manipulating capability is an important indication for intelligent robot. But current generation underwater robots generally employ the claw-like end effectors without sensing or controlling of the contact forces, which is simple and easy to control,
