Tumor Microscopically-absent On Resection Specimen After Bronchoscopic Cryobiopsy: TuMORS-ABC

open access: yesRespiratory Medicine Case Reports
The advent of shape-sensing robotic-assisted bronchoscopy (SSRAB) and its combination with integrated mobile cone beam CT (mCBCT) have made it possible for chest clinicians to biopsy smaller lung nodules than was previously possible. The 1.1 mm cryoprobe

Design of a Teleoperated Robotic Bronchoscopy System for Peripheral Pulmonary Lesion Biopsy [PDF]

open access: yes
Bronchoscopy with transbronchial biopsy is a minimally invasive and effective method for early lung cancer intervention. Robot-assisted bronchoscopy offers improved precision, spatial flexibility, and reduced risk of cross-infection.

A Review of Breath Sensing for Disease Monitoring and Diagnosis: Breathomics, Artificial Intelligence, and Nanomaterials for the Future of Medicine

open access: yesAdvanced Sensor Research, Volume 5, Issue 7, July 2026.
Breathomics is established as a non‐invasive diagnostic strategy by combining volatile organic compound biomarkers, nanomaterial‐based sensor arrays, and AI‐driven classification. Key diseases, sensing materials, and analytical challenges are critically compared, revealing how portable, data‐enabled breath platforms are moving toward clinically useful ...

Primary Pulmonary Angiosarcoma: Case Report and Literature Review

open access: yesRespirology Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 7, July 2026.
We present a case of primary pulmonary angiosarcoma with widespread metastatic disease, initially presenting with nonspecific respiratory symptoms and diagnostic uncertainty, ultimately diagnosed via robotic navigational bronchoscopy. This case highlights the challenges in early recognition and the potential role of advanced bronchoscopic techniques in

Real‐time visualization of lung malignancy with needle‐based confocal laser endomicroscopy during shape‐sensing robotic‐assisted bronchoscopy

open access: yesRespirology Case Reports, 2023
Robotic‐assisted bronchoscopy (RAB) improves endoscopic diagnostic yield of solitary pulmonary nodules (SPN). Needle‐based confocal laser endomicroscopy (nCLE) is an emerging technology that allows high‐resolution, in‐vivo, real‐time assessment of living

Diagnostic Performance of Radial EBUS‐Guided Cryobiopsy for Peripheral Lung Lesions: First Experience in Morocco

open access: yesThe Clinical Respiratory Journal, Volume 20, Issue 7, July 2026.
Radial EBUS‐guided transbronchial cryobiopsy using a 1.1‐mm cryoprobe achieved a 75.3% diagnostic yield for peripheral lung lesions in 73 patients, with no severe hemorrhage. Protocolized balloon blocker use effectively controlled all bleeding events, supporting cryobiopsy as a feasible, safe alternative to conventional forceps biopsy.

Feasibility, Safety and Outcomes of Early Mobilization in the ICU Following Lung Transplantation: A Scoping Review

open access: yesClinical Transplantation, Volume 40, Issue 7, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Lung transplantation (LTx) is performed in approximately 4500 patients worldwide each year. Postoperatively, patients are at high risk of muscle catabolism due to Intensive Care Unit (ICU)‐acquired weakness, potentially compromising functional recovery. While post‐LTx rehabilitation is usually initiated after hospital discharge, the
