Spatially Tailorable Liquid Crystalline Elastomer Alignment During Digital Light Process 3D Printing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Here, we report the fabrication of 3D printable liquid crystalline elastomer (LCE) structures with spatially tailorable alignment domains within the same layer. This work addresses the long‐standing challenge of preparing complex 3D LCE architectures with patterned functional domains to achieve nonlinear deformations. Fabrication of multi‐domains in 3D

Robotic teleoperation systems using a wearable multimodal fusion device

open access: yesInternational Journal of Advanced Robotic Systems, 2017
Teleoperation is of great importance in the area of robotics especially when people’s presence at the robot working space is unavailable. It provides an alternative to employ human intelligence in the control of the robot remotely.

Body ownership and agency altered by an electromyographically controlled robotic arm [PDF]

open access: yesRoyal Society Open Science, 2018
Understanding how we consciously experience our bodies is a fundamental issue in cognitive neuroscience. Two fundamental components of this are the sense of body ownership (the experience of the body as one's own) and the sense of agency (the feeling of ...

The Whole World in Your Hand: Active and Interactive Segmentation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
Object segmentation is a fundamental problem in computer vision and a powerful resource for development. This paper presents three embodied approaches to the visual segmentation of objects. Each approach to segmentation is aided by the presence of a hand

Meta‐Rod Mechanical Metamaterials With Programmable Reconfiguration

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Existing mechanical metamaterials achieve programmable large deformations in planar square or cubic configurations, restricted by required complex boundary conditions. This research proposes a 1D metamaterial, Meta‐rod, with linear, bending, twisting, area, and volume deformation modes.

Design and simulation analysis of automatic coal spillage cleaning mechanism for belt conveyors in underground roadways

open access: yesGong-kuang zidonghua
As the main coal flow transportation equipment in underground coal mines, belt conveyors may experience coal spillage and accumulation during operation. Traditional manual cleaning methods are inefficient and pose safety hazards.

CONTROL END-EFFECTOR MOVEMENT OF ROBOTIC ARM BY PSEUDOINVERSE METHOD [PDF]

open access: yesActa Electrotechnica et Informatica, 2019
Inverse kinematics and pseudoinverse method for controlling movement of robotic arm is presented in this paper. For that task we used robotic arm DOBOT for which we made simulation model in Matlab environment and SimMechanics toolbox.

Intermediate Resistive State in Wafer‐Scale Vertical MoS2 Memristors Through Lateral Silver Filament Growth for Artificial Synapse Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In MOCVD MoS2 memristors, a current compliance‐regulated Ag filament mechanism is revealed. The filament ruptures spontaneously during volatile switching, while subsequent growth proceeds vertically through the MoS2 layers and then laterally along the van der Waals gaps during nonvolatile switching.
