Analysis of Women's Representation in Parliament in Indonesia Using Robust Regression Estimation-S
Women's representation in parliament is a very important issue to study because one of the SDGs goals is gender equality. Women's representation in parliament in Indonesia is still low, only reaching 21.74 percent in 2022. The low representation of women

Partial robust M-regression. [PDF]
Partial Least Squares (PLS) is a standard statistical method in chemometrics. It can be considered as an incomplete, or 'partial', version of the Least Squares estimator of regression, applicable when high or perfect multicollinearity is present in the ...

Tumor mutational burden as a determinant of metastatic dissemination patterns
This study performed a comprehensive analysis of genomic data to elucidate whether metastasis in certain organs share genetic characteristics regardless of cancer type. No robust mutational patterns were identified across different metastatic locations and cancer types.

Correlation of the differential expression of PIK3R1 and its spliced variant, p55α, in pan‐cancer
PIK3R1 undergoes alternative splicing to generate the isoforms, p85α and p55α. By combining large patient datasets with laboratory experiments, we show that PIK3R1 spliced variants shape cancer behavior. While tumors lose the protective p85α isoform, p55α is overexpressed, changes linked to poorer survival and more pronounced in African American ...

Robust regression with optimisation heuristics [PDF]
Linear regression is widely-used in finance. While the standard method to obtain parameter estimates, Least Squares, has very appealing theoretical and numerical properties, obtained estimates are often unstable in the presence of extreme observations ...

Robustness of Deepest Regression
The notion of the regression depth is one of the most interesting and important notions recently studied in multivariate analysis. The authors investigate the robustness properties of deepest regressions. It is shown that the deepest regression functional is Fisher-consistent for the conditional median, and has a breakdown value of 1/3 in all ...

Basroparib inhibits YAP‐driven cancers by stabilizing angiomotin
Basroparib, a selective tankyrase inhibitor, suppresses Wnt signaling and attenuates YAP‐driven oncogenic programs by stabilizing angiomotin. It promotes AMOT–YAP complex formation, enforces cytoplasmic YAP sequestration, inhibits YAP/TEAD transcription, and sensitizes YAP‐active cancers, including KRAS‐mutant colorectal cancer, to MEK inhibition.

The impact of politics on fiscal behavior: the case of Brazil
This paper examines the proposition that a government which faces an election or depends on general popular support to govern effectively will find it difficult to resist increasing expenditures or to raise taxes.

To integrate multiple transcriptomics data with severe batch effects for identifying MB subtypes, we developed a novel and accurate computational method named RaMBat, which leveraged subtype‐specific gene expression ranking information instead of absolute gene expression levels to address batch effects of diverse data sources.

Robust Statistical Approaches for RSS-Based Floor Detection in Indoor Localization
Floor detection for indoor 3D localization of mobile devices is currently an important challenge in the wireless world. Many approaches currently exist, but usually the robustness of such approaches is not addressed or investigated.
