Residual tail twisting in ascidian larvae is stabilized by asymmetric myofibrils that resist bilateral symmetry restoration

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ascidian Ciona larvae initially show strong clockwise tail twisting, which is largely corrected during development. However, a small residual twist remains. This study shows that organized helical myofibrils in tail muscles mechanically stabilize this residual asymmetry, preventing complete restoration of bilateral symmetry and revealing how embryos ...

MENGATASI PENCILAN PADA PEMODELAN REGRESI LINEAR BERGANDA DENGAN METODE REGRESI ROBUST PENAKSIR LMS

open access: yesBarekeng, 2019
Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) is frequent used method for estimating parameters. OLS estimator is not a robust regression procedure for the presence of outliers, so the estimate becomes inappropriate.

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Robust Distributed High-Dimensional Regression: A Convoluted Rank Approach

open access: yesEntropy
This paper investigates robust high-dimensional convoluted rank regression in distributed environments. We propose an estimation method suitable for sparse regimes, which remains effective under heavy-tailed errors and outliers, as it does not impose ...

A Practical pedestrian approach to parsimonious regression with inaccurate inputs [PDF]

open access: yesSongklanakarin Journal of Science and Technology (SJST), 2014
A measurement result often dictates an interval containing the correct value. Interval data is also created by roundoff, truncation, and binning. We focus on such common interval uncertainty in data.

Targeted modulation of IGFL2‐AS1 reveals its translational potential in cervical adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cervical adenocarcinoma patients face worse outcomes than squamous cell carcinoma counterparts despite similar treatment. The identification of IGFL2‐AS1's differential expression provides a molecular basis for distinguishing these histotypes, paving the way for personalized therapies and improved survival in vulnerable populations globally.
