Quantifying and analyzing rock trait distributions of rocky fault scarps using deep learning approach [PDF]
We apply a deep learning model to segment and identify rock characteristics based on a Structure-from-Motion orthomap and digital elevation model of a rocky fault scarp in the Volcanic Tablelands, eastern California. By post-processing the deep learning results, we build a semantic rock map and analyze rock trait distributions.

Como consecuencia del auge del hip-hop o la música dance, el uso de samples se ha convertido en una práctica bastante común en la actualidad. Aun así, el rock se ha mostrado prácticamente ajeno a ella al depender de una autenticidad basada en la ...

Study of the possibility of diamond formation at moderate pressures and temperatures [PDF]
Data on the diamond synthesis in experiments with carbon-saturated metal melts at moderate pressures and temperatures are presented. Features of the resulting diamond phase, the types and nature of inclusions are discussed and compared with those for ...

Digital rock reconstruction with user-defined properties using conditional generative adversarial networks [PDF]
Uncertainty is ubiquitous with flow in subsurface rocks because of their inherent heterogeneity and lack of in-situ measurements. To complete uncertainty analysis in a multi-scale manner, it is a prerequisite to provide sufficient rock samples. Even though the advent of digital rock technology offers opportunities to reproduce rocks, it still cannot be

We are looking for something primitive: a memory from before our birth. Something obvious, we all carry and that evolves within us: the first gestures of the first men. Between art, science and technology, our research tends to a virtual scene of rock art in action. Assuming that the cave paintings are the traces of oral performance or dance rites [1],

Study of Rock Mass Stability Decrease due to Underground Mining
The optimization of underground mining processes is carried out based on rational use of energy for obtaining preset broken ore size. The effective optimization requires correct assessment of the properties of the rock mass to be broken.

Azobenzene-based gel coated fibre Bragg grating sensor for moisture measurement [PDF]
A fibre Bragg grating sensor is coated with a novel polymer gel in order to investigate its suitability for nondestructive measurement of moisture in materials that can potentially lose their integrity due to moisture ingress.

Rock strength criterion considering the effect of hydrostatic stress on lode angle effect
Rock strength criterion is a basic subject in mining engineering and petroleum engineering. It has important guiding significances to the process of underground energy exploitation. Different rocks have different strength envelopes.

Rock the Rock of Atherosclerosis [PDF]
The Rho-Associated Coiled-Coil Containing Protein Kinase (ROCK1 and ROCK2) were one of the downstream effectors of the small GTPase Rho. The Rho/ROCK pathway plays an important role in mediating multiple cellular processes, including endothelial dysfunction, the proliferation and migration of smooth muscle cells, foam cell formation, and arterial ...
