Reinforcement effects of optimal strategy of anti-slide piles on irregular slopes with bedding rock slopes under near-fault ground motions

open access: yesYantu gongcheng xuebao
In practical engineering, the surfaces of bedding rock slopes are mostly irregular, and their geometrical concave and convex characteristics and joint characteristics have a significant effect on the slope stability, which leads to the problem of the ...

Physical and theoretical modeling of rock slopes against block-flexure toppling failure [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mining and Geo-Engineering, 2015
Block-flexure is the most common mode of toppling failure in natural and excavated rock slopes. In such failure, some rock blocks break due to tensile stresses and some overturn under their own weights and then all of them topple together. In this paper,

Resistance to Overdoping Allows Over 2000 S cm−1 Conductivity in P(g3BTTT) With Anion‐Exchange Doping

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Anion‐exchange doping of conjugated polymers is an effective way to achieve high conductivities. Here, we report over 2000 S cm−1 electrical conductivity for doped P(g3BTTT). In addition, we show that P(g3BTTT) sustains exceptionally high doping levels without any drop in the charge mobility.

Ultra‐High‐Throughput Discovery of Multifunctional Polyphenolic Coatings on Droplet Microarrays

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
An ultra‐high‐throughput (UHT) combinatorial strategy enables the miniaturized synthesis and screening of ≈30 000 polyamine‐polyphenolic (PaPp) coatings using droplet microarrays (DMA). This approach reveals hundreds of previously unknown fluorescent, redox‐active, and antibacterial materials, including multifunctional, cell‐compatible surfaces ...

The influence of the lithological and geotechnical properties of rocks on the morphology of glacial valleys [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
The glacial valley cross-profile has traditionally had its development attrituted to the physical properties of the eroding glacier, with the input of the properties of the eroded rock mass to the development of the valley system considered in a purely ...

Cornus Mas L. Seed‐Derived Biosorbent for Methylene Blue Removal: Surface Characterization and Biosorption Performance

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Cornus mas L. seeds are transformed into a high‐performance biosorbent through chemical modification, effectively removing methylene blue from aqueous solutions. Comprehensive characterization and optimization reveal a maximum biosorption capacity of 71.71 mg g−1, establishing this sustainable, cost‐effective material as a promising solution for ...

Transducers Across Scales and Frequencies: A System‐Level Framework for Multiphysics Integration and Co‐Design

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Transducers convert physical signals into electrical and optical representations, yet each mechanism is bounded by intrinsic trade‐offs across bandwidth, sensitivity, speed, and energy. This review maps transduction mechanisms across physical scale and frequency, showing how heterogeneous integration and multiphysics co‐design transform isolated ...
