Prediction of individual deformation characteristics of structural elements by a “leader” product [PDF]

open access: yesVestnik Samarskogo Gosudarstvennogo Tehničeskogo Universiteta. Seriâ: Fiziko-Matematičeskie Nauki, 2022
We propose a numerical method for predicting the individual deformation characteristics of structural elements by a leader product. The basis of this method is generalized one-parameter models.

Development of Braiding-Pultrusion Method and Investigation of Mechanical Properties of Composite Rods Produced by this Method [PDF]

open access: yesعلوم و تکنولوژی پلیمر, 2013
In this research, a braiding-pultrusion production line is developed by modifying a conventional textile maypole braiding machine and adding it to a pultrusion line for production of braid-pultruded (BP) composite rods.

Generators of Pressure-Evoked Currents in Vertebrate Outer Retinal Neurons

open access: yesCells, 2021
(1) Background: High-tension glaucoma damages the peripheral vision dominated by rods. How mechanosensitive channels (MSCs) in the outer retina mediate pressure responses is unclear. (2) Methods: Immunocytochemistry, patch clamp, and channel fluorescence

Numerical modeling of thermomechanical processes in heat-resistant alloys

open access: yesҚарағанды университетінің хабаршысы. Физика сериясы, 2020
This article presents a numerical simulation of thermomechanical processes in heat-resistant alloys. The authors develop the law of temperature distribution along the length of the physical body, which is considered as a rod of alloy EI-617. The authors

Recruitment of the Rod Pathway by Cones in the Absence of Rods [PDF]

open access: yesThe Journal of Neuroscience, 2004
In mammalian retinas, rods and cones connect to distinct sets of bipolar cells. In the retina of Nrl (neural retina leucine zipper) knock-out mice, in which rods fail to form and all photoreceptors are cones, rod bipolar cells have normal morphology, pattern of staining, and lamination, but they form synaptic connections with cones.
