A widely conserved protein Rof inhibits transcription termination factor Rho and promotes Salmonella virulence program

open access: yesNature Communications
Transcription is crucial for the expression of genetic information and its efficient and accurate termination is required for all living organisms. Rho-dependent termination could rapidly terminate unwanted premature RNAs and play important roles in ...

Optimising Wave Energy Plant Location Through Neutrosophic Multi‐Criteria Group Decision‐Making

open access: yesCAAI Transactions on Intelligence Technology, Volume 11, Issue 1, Page 167-189, February 2026.
ABSTRACT The global shift towards sustainable energy has intensified research into renewable sources, particularly wave energy. Pakistan, with its long coastline, holds significant potential for wave energy development. However, identifying optimal locations for wave energy plants involves evaluating complex, multi‐faceted criteria.

Effects of fentanyl on intraocular pressure and pupil size in medetomidine-methadone premedicated dogs: a pilot study

open access: yesVeterinary Record Open, 2020
Background This is a pilot study to evaluate the effects of fentanyl on intraocular pressure (IOP) and pupil size (PS) in dogs premedicated with medetomidine and methadone. Methods Sixteen dogs with a median (first quartile–third quartile) age of 3.5 (1 ...

Risk Factors in the First 1000 Days of Life Associated With Childhood Obesity: A Systematic Review and Risk Factor Quality Assessment

open access: yesObesity Reviews, Volume 27, Issue 2, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Early‐life exposures might negatively affect fetal and infant development, predisposing children to obesity. This study aimed to systematically identify and evaluate risk factors for childhood obesity in preconception, pregnancy, and infancy, and assess their potential for future prediction and prevention strategies.

Inhibition of Hypersialylation in Human Intervertebral Disc Degeneration Modulates Inflammation and Metabolism

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 6, 30 January 2026.
Glycosylation, specifically hypersialylation, is identified as a critical factor in human intervertebral disc (IVD) degeneration—a major cause of low back pain. This study demonstrates that inhibiting sialylation reduces inflammation and oxidative stress in IVD tissues, suggesting new therapeutic possibilities.

An Experimental Study of the Relative Sensitivity to Oxidative Aging of NaBH4‐promoted Green Hypergolic Fuels

open access: yesPropellants, Explosives, Pyrotechnics, Volume 51, Issue 1, Page 97-107, January 2026.
ABSTRACT Conventional hypergolic propellants cause technical problems due to their toxicity and carcinogenic properties, which increase development costs and lead to significant environmental issues. These challenges can be addressed by incorporating additives with low‐toxicity fuels to render them hypergolic.

q-ROF mappings and Suzuki type common fixed point results in b-metric spaces with application

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2022
In the present paper the concepts of q-rung orthopair fuzzy mappings (q-ROF mapping) and q-rung ( α , β ) $( \alpha ,\beta ) $ -cuts are introduced. Some common fixed point results for q-ROF mappings are presented in b-metric spaces using Suzuki-type ...

A Generalized Topology Approach to Trajectory Convergence in Nonautonomous Evolution Equations With Monotone Operators

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
This paper investigates the application of β‐open sets to the convergence analysis of nonautonomous evolution equations governed by maximal monotone operators in Hilbert spaces. β‐open sets are a class of generalized open sets introduced by Njåstad (1965), which coincides with the class of semiopen sets by Levine (1963).
