A widely conserved protein Rof inhibits transcription termination factor Rho and promotes Salmonella virulence program

open access: yesNature Communications
Transcription is crucial for the expression of genetic information and its efficient and accurate termination is required for all living organisms. Rho-dependent termination could rapidly terminate unwanted premature RNAs and play important roles in ...

DESIGN OF A HIGH-SPEED, RECONFIGURABLE, DIGITAL RANK ORDER FILTER

open access: yesInternational Islamic University Malaysia Engineering Journal, 2010
A new architecture to realize a modular, high-speed, reconfigurable, digital Rank Order Filter (ROF) is presented in this paper. A bit-level algorithm by Kar and Pradhan has been modified in this work to implement the proposed ROF.

Construction Material Selection by Using Multi-Attribute Decision Making Based on q-Rung Orthopair Fuzzy Aczel–Alsina Aggregation Operators

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2022
A contribution of this article is to introduce new q-rung Orthopair fuzzy (q-ROF) aggregation operators (AOs) as the consequence of Aczel–Alsina (AA) t-norm (TN) (AATN) and t-conorm (TCN) (AATCN) and their specific advantages in handling real-world ...

Modulation of Pectin Film Properties via Various Solid Lipid Nanoparticles Formulations: Water Barrier and Mechanical Insights

open access: yesPolymers for Advanced Technologies, Volume 37, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Despite pectin‐based films have been intensively studied as an alternative to plastic, their poor moisture barrier and mechanical properties remain challenging for researchers and industry. This study investigated the influence of four various solid lipid nanoparticles (SLN) formulations on pectin films.

Attribution of UK Temperature Changes to Anthropogenic and Natural Factors

open access: yesAtmospheric Science Letters, Volume 27, Issue 5, May 2026.
Temperatures in the UK, one of the world's best observed regions climatically, have warmed more than 1.5 degrees over the last 160 years. We have carried out an attribution analysis of UK temperatures partitioning observed changes into anthropogenic and natural contributions.

Landslide susceptibility mapping using a machine learning approach and different environmental factors in the Western Ghats region (India)

open access: yesEarth Surface Processes and Landforms, Volume 51, Issue 5, May 2026.
Landslide susceptibility mapping in India's Western Ghats using machine learning revealed high‐risk zones driven by deforestation, slope alteration and road proximity. The Random Forest model showed highest accuracy, supporting targeted mitigation, planning and early warning systems.

Highly Versatile Real‐Time Optical Noise Filtering Through Temporal Cloaking

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, Volume 20, Issue 10, 22 May 2026.
Conventional bandpass filtering strategies may be insufficient for recovering optical waveforms under extremely noisy conditions. We demonstrate a temporal‐cloaking denoising strategy enabled by the temporal Talbot effect, which concentrates the coherent signal of interest into short temporal slots while broadband noise remains temporally spread.
