Computer aided design and analysis of gear tooth geometry [PDF]
A simulation method for gear hobbing and shaping of straight and spiral bevel gears is presented. The method is based upon an enveloping theory for gear tooth profile generation.

Technologies for restricting mould growth on baled silage [PDF]
End of project reportSilage is made on approximately 86% of Irish farms, and 85% of these make some baled silage. Baled silage is particularly important as the primary silage making, storage and feeding system on many beef and smaller sized farms, but is

XGBoost Meets INLA: A Two‐Stage Spatio‐Temporal Forecasting of Wildfires in Portugal
ABSTRACT Wildfires pose a major threat to Portugal, with over 115,000 hectares burned annually on average during 1980–2024, and the country has faced devastating mega‐fires such as those in 2017. Accurate forecasts of wildfire occurrence and burned area are therefore essential for firefighting resource allocation and emergency preparedness.

3D Polymeric Nanonetworks: From Self‐Assembly to Advanced Fabrication
This review provides the first systematic cross‐method comparison of fabrication techniques for 3D polymeric nanonetworks. It evaluates five key strategies—block copolymer self‐assembly, hyper‐crosslinking, template‐assisted methods, 3D printing, and nanolithography—across critical metrics including resolution, throughput, scalability, and material ...

Revealing The True Mechanical Behavior Of Porous Tendon Scaffolds Via In Situ Morphometry
Strain‐dependent morphology is measured in electrospun porous polymeric tendon/ligament scaffolds. This dependence significantly affects the scaffolds’ mechanical characteristics. Analysis of both morphological and mechanical changes helps to correlate them. More physiological characteristics are obtained by considering morphological changes.

Vibration Propagation of Gear Dynamics in a Gear-Bearing-Housing System Using Mathematical Modeling and Finite Element Analysis [PDF]
Vibration and noise caused by gear dynamics at the meshing teeth propagate through power transmission components to the surrounding environment. This study is devoted to developing computational tools to investigate the vibro-acoustic propagation of gear

ABSTRACT This study presents large deformation computational methods to simulate lateral vehicular impacts on steel piles in granular soil. Soil‐mounted longitudinal barrier systems rely on energy dissipation in both the piles and the surrounding soil to safely redirect errant vehicles, so dynamic pile‐soil interaction is important for design ...
