Mg volatilization and chemical instability during high‐temperature synthesis hinder the scalable fabrication of Mg‐based thermoelectrics. Here, a magnesium‐retention assisted synthesis (MRAS) strategy stabilizes Mg using a sacrificial Mg reservoir and an inert‐gas‐regulated melting environment.
