Antibacterial activity of root canal sealers [PDF]

The aim of this study is to determine antibacterial activity of the root canal sealers in direct contact with Eschericia coli, Serattia marcescens, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Staphylococcus aureus. The IRM and Epiphany had the greatest antibacterial efficacy against E.coli, P. aeruginosa, S. aureus and S. marcescens.

Cytotoxicity of Three Root Canal Sealers

The objective of this study was to evaluate the cytotoxicity of three commercialy aviable root canal sealers: APEXIT, AH PLUS and KETAC-ENDO by using mouse L929 fibroblasts.Freshly mixed sealers, prepared according to the manufacturers' directions, were placed on teflon discs and put on the well bottom of a 12-well plate.
