Rare Variation in Root Canals of Mandibular, Canine and Premolar Teeth

open access: yesRUHS Journal of Health Sciences, 2023
One of the main causes of failure of root canal treatment is failure to diagnose variations in root canal anatomy. Hence, diagnosing the correct root canal morphology is critical for successful endodontic treatment.

Understanding the Dynamics of Inflammatory Cytokines in Endodontic Diagnosis: A Systematic Review

open access: yesDiagnostics
The primary aim of this literature review is to delineate the key inflammatory cytokines involved in the pathophysiology of pulp inflammation. By elucidating the roles of these cytokines, a deeper comprehension of the distinct stages of inflamed pulp can

Latest concepts in root canal treatment [PDF]

open access: yesBritish Dental Journal, 2005
This paper highlights one aspect of a presentation to be given at the BDA Conference and is written in the context of dentistry in primary care. Careful oral health assessment as a foundation to good treatment planning and quality dentistry is not new, but there are a number of important new perspectives emerging across countries and healthcare systems

Subtype‐specific enhancer RNAs define transcriptional regulators and prognosis in breast cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study employed machine learning methodologies to perform the subtype‐specific classification of RNA‐seq data sets, which are mapped on enhancers from TCGA‐derived breast cancer patients. Their integration with gene expression (referred to as ProxCReAM eRNAs) and chromatin accessibility profiles has the potential to identify lineage‐specific and ...

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Management of Six Root Canals in Mandibular First Molar

open access: yesCase Reports in Medicine, 2015
Success in root canal treatment is achieved after thorough cleaning, shaping, and obturation of the root canal system. This clinical case describes conventional root canal treatment of an unusual mandibular first molar with six root canals. The prognosis

Clinical case: second mandibular premolar with three root canals

open access: yesЭндодонтия Today, 2021
Successful and predictable endodontic treatment requires knowledge of root canal anatomy and morphology variations. In cases where X-ray images do not help to clarify the anatomy of the root canals, it is recommended to use magnifying devices. The second

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.
