One Case Of Maxillary Premolar Treated With Four Canals

open access: yesInternational Dental Journal
Introduction: Report a case of four canals with accessory root canal variations in the upper left first premolar. Case description: A 48 year old male presented with spontaneous pain in the upper left first premolar(24). The root apex film indicated that

A Novel Drug‐Loaded Porous Parylene Electrode for Targeted Anti‐Inflammatory Therapy and Hearing Preservation in Cochlear Implantation

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A porous parylene‐coated electrode loaded with dexamethasone was developed to reduce inflammation after cochlear implantation. In guinea pigs, the device provided sustained drug release, maintained biocompatibility, improved auditory brainstem response thresholds, and reduced inflammatory cell infiltration and TNF‐α expression.

Middle distal canal: A rare morphological variation in root canal anatomy of the mandibular molar

open access: yesEndodontology
A thorough cleaning and shaping of root canals is one of the primary objectives of root canal treatment. For that the clinician needs to be aware of different variations in root canal configurations.

Reprogramming the Immunosuppressive Microenvironment in Triple‐Negative Breast Cancer via FAP‐Targeted Nanoprobes for Multimodal Imaging and Photothermal Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Targeting cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) with fibroblast activation protein (FAP)‐directed nanoprobes for multimodal imaging and photothermal remodeling of the immunosuppressive microenvironment to enhance immunotherapy in triple‐negative breast cancer (TNBC).

Endodontic management of maxillary first molar having five root canals with the aid of spiral computed tomography

open access: yesSaudi Endodontic Journal, 2014
A thorough knowledge of root canal anatomy is essential for the endodontic therapy.Aberrations in the root canal system, especially in multirooted teeth, can pose a considerable challenge to the endodontist during root canal treatment. The dentist should

Far‐Infrared Hyperbolic Phonon–Polaritons in Zirconium Disulfide

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
An unpatterned ZrS2${\rm ZrS}_2$ flake, coupled to far‐field infrared light by metal nanoribbons, reveals hyperbolic phonon polaritons with multiple higher‐order branches and effective refractive indices up to 223. This resonator‐assisted approach establishes ZrS2${\rm ZrS}_2$ as a compact van der Waals platform for deeply subwavelength far‐infrared ...

40-Year Outcome of Old-School, Non-Surgical Endodontic Treatment: Practice-Based Retrospective Evaluation

open access: yesDentistry Journal
(1) Background: Non-surgical endodontic treatment has been shown to be clinically successful; however, clinical long-term data are scarce. This practice-based retrospective clinical investigation evaluated endodontic outcomes over 40 years and identified

Treatment strategy analysis and prevalence of root canal variation of maxillary second molars from a native Chinese population

open access: yes口腔疾病防治
The anatomical morphology of root canal systems in maxillary second molars (MSMs) is complex and shows diverse variations, which leads to challenging root canal treatments that could end in failure.
