Vigour control in grapevines for wine production : the effects of root restriction on the vegetative growth, fruitfulness and fruit maturity of Vitis vinifera cv. Cabernet Sauvignon

open access: yes, 1998
An hypothesis that root restriction bags affect the vegetative growth, fruitfulness and fruit maturity of minimally managed field grown grapevines (Vilis vinifera cv.

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...

Root restriction and root-shoot relationships in tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.) : a thesis presented in partial fulfilment of the requirements for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Horticultural Science at Massey University [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
The potential for controlling plant growth and productivity by manipulating root growth and development has not been realised because of a lack of understanding of how root growth influences shoot growth.

Dual PI3K/AKT and CDK4/6 inhibition reveals selective sensitivity in an SHH medulloblastoma stem cell model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Targeted therapy was evaluated in SHH medulloblastoma using neuroepithelial stem cell (NES) and tumor‐derived NES‐like (tNES) models in 2D monolayers and 3D spheroids. PI3K, AKT, and CDK4/6 inhibitors had minimal effects in NES but markedly reduced viability and growth and induced apoptosis in tNES cells, revealing distinct therapeutic vulnerabilities.

Bootstrap Unit Root Tests: Comparison and Extensions

open access: yes
In this paper we study and compare the properties of several bootstrap unit root tests recently proposed in the literature. The tests are Dickey-Fuller or Augmented DF-tests, either based on residuals from an autoregression and the use of the block ...

Testing for Stationarity in a Cointegrated System [PDF]

open access: yes
In systems of variables with a specified or already identified cointegrating rank, stationarity of component variates can be tested by a simple restriction test.

Molecular genetic studies on Brassica napus L. [PDF]

open access: yes, 1991
The feasibility of using two different methods of assaying for DNA polymer phisms has been assessed. They were Restriction fragment length polymorphisms (RFLPs) as revealed by a range of characterised Brassica cDNA sequences and Random amplified ...

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Zinc requirements of transplanted oilseed rape

open access: yes, 2004
Transplanting is a common practice for many horticultural crops and some field crops. Recently, transplanted oilseed rape (Brassica napus L.) crops have been reported to be sensitive to zinc (Zn) deficiency.
