Automatic Calibration of a Two-Axis Rotary Table for 3D Scanning Purposes [PDF]
Rotary tables are often used to speed up the acquisition time during the 3D scanning of complex geometries. In order to avoid manual registration of the point clouds acquired with different orientations, automatic algorithms to compensate the rotation were developed.

A Bibliometric Analysis of Publications in Uremic Toxins From 1991 to 2024
ABSTRACT Background Uremic toxins are a growing area of research in nephrology, with significant implications in the progression and treatment of chronic kidney disease (CKD) and the management of end‐stage kidney disease (ESKD). This bibliometric analysis aims to evaluate the global research trends, key contributors, and the impact of publications in ...

ABSTRACT Background Chronic micro‐inflammation in patients with end‐stage renal disease (ESRD) is a significant driver of cardiovascular complications and diminished quality of life. While standard hemodialysis (SHD) effectively manages small‐molecule clearance, its ability to remove medium‐to‐large uremic toxins—the primary catalysts of systemic ...

Evaluation of Synchronous Motion in Five-axis Machining Centers With a Tilting Rotary Table
This paper proposes a new method for evaluating the synchronous inaccuracy of a translational axis and a rotational axis in five-axis controlled machining centers with a tilting rotary table.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Vision-Based Measurement of Two-Dimensional Positioning Errors of Machine Tools
This paper presents vision-based measurement of two-dimensional positioning errors of machine tools. A pre-calibrated grid plate is used as an artefact. The position of a grid point is measured in an image captured by a charge coupled device (CCD) camera

Development of an educational 3-axis CNC machine tool for rapid prototyping with two translational and one rotary axis [PDF]
The paper shows the development of a 3-axis CNC machine tool for rapid prototyping by subtracting materials, with two translational and one rotating axis, whose control is based on the LinuxCNC system, with an integrated virtual machine as a digital twin.

Septin 9 polybasic domains couple phosphoinositide‐rich membrane binding to centrosome positioning, Golgi organization, and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity. Their loss disrupts this axis, causing centrosome mispositioning, Golgi fragmentation, reduced microtubule acetylation, and polarity inversion via upregulation of the ...

FEATURES OF USING TWO-AXIS ROTARY TABLES AND A SIX-AXIS MANIPULATOR IN ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING
The features of using a two-axis rotary table and a six-axis industrial robot to increase the efficiency of additive manufacturing are considered. Methods and algorithms of joint control of devices are proposed. Synchronization of the industrial robot control system with third-party devices for two-way transmission of information without time delay is ...
