Design possibilities of multiple-pole cylindrical rotor synchronous machine excitation winding
IECON 2014 - 40th Annual Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, 2014This article provides design and finite element analyses information of two possibilities of cylindrical rotor synchronous machine excitation winding designs. It is focused especially on multiple-pole synchronous machines, where the presence of higher amount of machine poles reduces amount of available slots for excitation winding, therefore all ...

The general rules of rotor pole and armature winding configurations combinations for 24-slot stator wound field flux switching machines (SWFFSMs) are investigated thoroughly in this article. Meanwhile, based on the virtual coil method, a novel general auxiliary evaluation variable, which is proportional to the fundamental amplitude of open-circuit flux-

Excitation of the Automobile Alternator with the Claw Pole Rotor by Means of Stator Winding
SAE Technical Paper Series, 2000
It is known, that the alternator self-excitation is possible at capacitor loading [1]. From this follows, that the alternator excitation by means of capacitors connected to one or several stator windings, as from simple excitation winding is located on a rotor, is possible.</

The issues of multiple-pole cylindrical rotor synchronous machine excitation winding
2013 15th European Conference on Power Electronics and Applications (EPE), 2013The paper deals with problems of cylindrical rotor synchronous machine excitation winding, its design and analyses of resulting excitation magnetic field. Furthermore it includes possibilities of suppression of harmonic components using suitable stator winding topology.

In small ratings, direct-driven wind power applications multiple permanent magnet generators have become very attractive. Connected directly to the turbine axis, this type of electrical machine contributes to low price energy (the energy loss is diminished through the conversion, the turbine performance is increased) and to the reduction of the noise -

Comparison of FPCB windings of BLDC machines with paralelly and radially magnetized rotor poles
2014 17th International Conference on Electrical Machines and Systems (ICEMS), 2014A technological leap is occurring in slotless brushless motors. Windings made of copper wires are replaced by windings printed on a flexible PCB. This technology offers a potential of new shapes and new topologies of the windings, increasing the efficiency of the slotless brushless motor.

Consequent Pole Toroidal Winding Dual Rotor Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machines
2020 IEEE Energy Conversion Congress and Exposition (ECCE), 2020Reduced rare-earth permanent magnet machine is an appealing research topic recently due to several challenging issues of rare-earth magnets. This paper proposes a new consequent pole toroidal winding dual rotor permanent magnet synchronous machine with reduced rare-earth volume.
