Where Can Aluminum Go When Batteries Die?

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Battery‐derived aluminum is transformed from contaminated waste into an alloying resource for high‐performance Fe‐based alloys. Through controlled Al content and processing, dual‐phase austenite/ferrite microstructures with TRIP‐like behavior are achieved.

Boundedness of a class of rough maximal functions

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2018
In this work, we obtain appropriate sharp bounds for a certain class of maximal operators along surfaces of revolution with kernels in Lq(Sn−1) $L^{q}(\mathbf{S}^{n-1})$, q>1 $q > 1$.

Epidermal Cell Dynamics Regulates Rice Lamina Joint Morphogenesis and Leaf Angle Formation through OsZHD1 and OsZHD2 Regulation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The lamina joint determines leaf angle and plant architecture. Xu et al. establish a live‐imaging system for the rice lamina joint and reveal that asymmetric epidermal cell elongation and division between the lateral and medial edges drive leaf angle formation.

A note on singular integrals with angular integrability

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2019
In this note we study the rough singular integral TΩf(x)=p.v.∫Rnf(x−y)Ω(y/|y|)|y|ndy, $$ T_{\varOmega }f(x)=\mathrm{p.v.} \int _{\mathbb{R}^{n}}f(x-y)\frac{\varOmega (y/ \vert y \vert )}{ \vert y \vert ^{n}}\,dy, $$ where n≥2 $n\geq 2$ and Ω is a ...

Hierarchical Strain‐Modified Medium‐Entropy Carbide Ceramics Exhibit Exceptional Ablation Resistance up to 2400°C

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A novel strategy is developed by doping reduced graphene oxide (rGO) into a (HfZrTi)C medium‐entropy ceramic. This induces a hierarchical strain modification mechanism, synergistically inhibiting crack propagation at the microscale and dissipating stress at the mesoscale.

A note on Marcinkiewicz integrals supported by submanifolds

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2018
In the present paper, we establish the boundedness and continuity of the parametric Marcinkiewicz integrals with rough kernels associated to polynomial mapping P $\mathcal{P}$ as well as the corresponding compound submanifolds, which is defined by Mh,Ω ...

High‐Resolution Multispectral Photovoltaic Imagers from Visible to Short‐Wave Infrared

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We demonstrate a monolithic quad‐spectral imager that seamlessly integrates visible and short‐wave infrared detection on a single chip. Through direct photopatterning of an all‐polymer bulk heterojunction and colloidal quantum dots, the device achieves high‐resolution (640 × 512) imaging across 350–2400 nm, enabling multispectral capture for ...

Interface Engineering Suppresses Self‐Annealing in Electroplated Nanograined Copper for Low‐Temperature Copper‐to‐Copper Bonding

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A (111)‐oriented nanotwinned copper substrate stabilizes the deposited nanograined copper and prevents self‐annealing by restricting grain boundary motion at the interface and promoting the formation of stacking faults within the nanograined copper. Its preserved nanostructure maintains bonding capability even after 30 days of storage, resulting in ...
