A Phase-Fitted and Amplification-Fitted Explicit Runge–Kutta–Nyström Pair for Oscillating Systems

open access: yesMathematical and Computational Applications, 2021
An optimized embedded 5(3) pair of explicit Runge–Kutta–Nyström methods with four stages using phase-fitted and amplification-fitted techniques is developed in this paper.

Geometrically nonlinear finite element implementation based on highly accurate 1st and 2nd numerical derivative scheme using hyper-dual numbers

open access: yesNihon Kikai Gakkai ronbunshu, 2016
This paper proposes a novel implementation scheme of geometrically nonlinear finite element programs, which automatically compute exact internal force vectors and element stiffness matrices by numerically differentiating a strain energy function at each ...

Association Between Dinutuximab Beta Exposure and Post‐End‐of‐Treatment Survival in Neuroblastoma: A Weighted Patient‐Level Analysis of Three Clinical Studies

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objectives The association between exposure to dinutuximab beta (DB) and event‐free survival (EFS) or overall survival (OS) of neuroblastoma patients was assessed using data collected during three clinical trials (five cohorts). Methods A systematic review (March 2026) was conducted to identify relevant studies (prospective; registered DB ...

A Hybrid Natural Transform Homotopy Perturbation Method for Solving Fractional Partial Differential Equations

open access: yesInternational Journal of Differential Equations, 2016
A hybrid analytical method for solving linear and nonlinear fractional partial differential equations is presented. The proposed analytical approach is an elegant combination of the Natural Transform Method (NTM) and a well-known method, Homotopy ...

Determination of calculation parameters for difference approximation of group refractive index of air based on two-point central method

open access: yesJournal of the European Optical Society-Rapid Publications, 2018
Background The accurate knowledge of the refractive index of air is very important for environmental compensation in length measurements. Methods In this study, we apply difference approximation methods to facilitate the calculation of the group ...

The Riemann-Lebesgue Integral of Interval-Valued Multifunctions

open access: yesMathematics, 2020
We study Riemann-Lebesgue integrability for interval-valued multifunctions relative to an interval-valued set multifunction. Some classic properties of the RL integral, such as monotonicity, order continuity, bounded variation, convergence are obtained ...

Long‐Term Outcomes of Patients With Relapsed/Refractory Neuroblastoma Treated on ANBL1221: A Report From the Children's Oncology Group

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Results of COG ANBL1221 changed treatment paradigms for patients with relapsed/refractory neuroblastoma. Chemoimmunotherapy with irinotecan/temozolomide/dinutuximab is now used as both bridge therapy following suboptimal response to induction and as treatment in first relapse.

TOP-ID: a Delphi technique-guided development of a prescription and deprescription tool for adults with intellectual disabilities

open access: yesBMJ Open, 2020
Objectives Adults with an intellectual disability (AWID) are often polymedicated because of somatic and psychiatric health problems. Besides, they may display challenging behaviours, leading to off-label prescription of psychotropic drugs, without ...

Extended Kalman Filter Using Orthogonal Polynomials

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2021
This paper reports a new extended Kalman filter where the underlying nonlinear functions are linearized using a Gaussian orthogonal basis of a weighted $\mathcal {L}_{2}$ space.

The effect of round-off error on long memory processes [PDF]

open access: yesStudies in Nonlinear Dynamics & Econometrics, 2011
Abstract We study how the round-off (or discretization) error changes the statistical properties of a Gaussian long memory process. We show that the autocovariance and the spectral density of the discretized process are asymptotically rescaled by a factor smaller than one, and we compute exactly this scaling factor.
