Wood Cellulosic Membrane With Abundant Nanochannels for Stabilizing Aqueous Zn‐Ion Batteries
A wood‐derived cellulosic membrane separator is developed to suppress dendrite growth in aqueous zinc‐ion batteries. Its aligned nanochannels and hydroxyl‐rich surfaces enable uniform Zn2+ flux, water immobilization, and interfacial stabilization. Zn||Zn cells achieve 1920 h of cycling, Zn||Cu cells maintain 99.5% Coulombic efficiency over 1000 cycles,

Performance and safety effectiveness evaluation of mini-roundabouts in Michigan
This study evaluates the performance and safety effectiveness of mini-roundabouts. Crash, operational, and geometric data for 14 mini-roundabouts located in the state of Michigan were collected for both before and after installation time periods between ...

Coagulative granular hydrogels are composed of packed thrombin‐functionalized microgels that catalyze the conversion of fibrinogen into a secondary fibrin network, filling the interstitial voids. This bio‐inspired approach stabilizes the biomaterial to match the robustness of bulk hydrogels without compromising injectability, mimicking the initial ...

This study presents a bioengineered assembloid (ASM) system combining glioblastoma (GBM) cells in oxidized alginate (OA) microgels with dorsal organoids (DOs). This model simulates brain tumor‐host interactions, revealing enhanced GBM invasion, altered gene expression, and aggressive infiltration patterns, demonstrating ASM as a valuable platform for ...

Design and Synthesis of Peptide‐Polyester Conjugates for Cell‐Mediated Scaffold Degradation
This work describes polycaprolactone (PCL)‐based biomaterials engineered to degrade in response to cell‐secreted proteases. A fast‐degrading peptide (Fast) sequence is integrated into a PCL conjugate backbone to produce a biomaterial that is selectively degraded by multiple cell types compared to its scrambled control (ScrFast).

THE APPLICATION OF HCM 2010 IN THE DETERMINATION OF CAPACITY OF TRAFFIC LANES AT TURBO ROUNDABOUT ENTRIES [PDF]
The main aim of this study was to verify whether it is possible to utilize the model contained in the HCM 2010 methodology for evaluation of traffic capacity of the lanes at the entries to turbo roundabouts in Poland. The models contained in the HCM 2010

Atomic Layer Deposition Processes: Versatile Platforms for Engineering ZnO‐Chitosan Biointerfaces
Vapour phase metalation (VPM), multiplied pulsed vapour phase infiltration (MPI), and O2 plasma‑enhanced atomic layer deposition (PEALD) tailor Zn–chitosan (Zn‑CS) films. PEALD improves wettability and biocompatibility. MPI enhances semiconductor behavior. Antiseptic selectivity: VPM → E. coli; MPI → H. pylori.

Improving performance of roundabout intersections by optimizing traffic-flow speed
Streamlining of urban traffic influence nowadays almost everything about our modern life. The main effect, which we all feel as the daily traffic participants, either as pedestrians or vehicles drivrers, is travel time to work and back.
