Do Robots Improve the Work–Live Balance? Evidence From a Shared Services Center

open access: yesKnowledge and Process Management, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This article examines the effects of process automation on the work–life balance of management accounting professionals in a shared services center (SSC), with the intervention of perceived usefulness of automation and upskilling. A single entity survey was carried out in a SSC of a player in the electricity sector listed on the Brazilian ...

Core stability in women with and without chronic pelvic pain

open access: yesPM&R, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Physical activity (PA) and core stability levels are unknown for women with musculoskeletal chronic pelvic pain (CPP) compared to healthy women. At this time, there is no validated treatment method aimed specifically at CPP. Objective To elucidate the PA habits and core stability of women with and without CPP.

Open letter: The need for a site‐based biodiversity standard measuring and certifying impacts from nature‐based projects

open access: yesPLANTS, PEOPLE, PLANET, EarlyView.
Despite growing investment in restoration, weak accountability and poor biodiversity monitoring mean many projects fail to achieve ecological recovery. The Global Biodiversity Standard (TGBS) offers a practical way to ensure that restoration finance delivers measurable gains for nature.

SYN‐A, a naturally derived synergist, restores pyrethroid efficacy against cabbage stem flea beetle but negatively impacts its parasitoid Microctonus brassicae

open access: yesPest Management Science, EarlyView.
SYN‐A, a naturally derived synergist, inhibited key metabolic pathways associated with pyrethroid insecticide resistance in cabbage stem flea beetle (CSFB) and its parasitoid Microctonus brassicae. SYN‐A restored pyrethroid efficacy against resistant CSFB allowing up to 80% reduction in application rates.

Single and dual RPA‐CRISPR/Cas assays for point‐of‐need detection of Stewart's wilt pathogen (Pantoea stewartii subsp. stewartii) of corn and Maize dwarf mosaic virus

open access: yesPest Management Science, Volume 81, Issue 4, Page 1988-1999, April 2025.
Schematic diagram of the single and dual RPA‐CRISPR/Cas12a/13a diagnostic assays for the detection of Pantoea stewartii subsp. stewartii and Maize dwarf mosaic virus. The validated assays provide a useful and sensitive molecular tool for detecting two quarantine pathogens of maize within a minimal resource framework suitable for fast‐tracking the ...

Oral misoprostol (PGE1) vs vaginal dinoprostone (PGE2) for labor induction: individual participant data meta‐analysis of randomized controlled trials

open access: yesUltrasound in Obstetrics &Gynecology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To compare the effectiveness and safety of oral misoprostol vs vaginal dinoprostone for the induction of labor (IOL) using an individual participant data (IPD) meta‐analysis. Methods We used a Cochrane review and searched Ovid MEDLINE, Ovid Embase, Ovid Emcare, CINAHL Plus, Scopus and ClinicalTrials.gov to identify randomized ...

Estimating red deer Cervus elaphus population density using drones in a steep and rugged terrain

open access: yesWildlife Biology, EarlyView.
Precise and accurate information about population density, crucial for wildlife management, is difficult to obtain for elusive species living in dense forests or steep and inaccessible terrain. Using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), we developed a method for obtaining absolute population estimates of ungulates living in steep, rugged, and partly ...

The Multifaceted Role of Rad9 in the DNA Damage Response of Saccharomyces cerevisiae

open access: yesYeast, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT To maintain the integrity of the genome, cells have evolved a complex signalling system, termed the DNA damage response (DDR), which detects DNA damage and promotes DNA repair. To date, over 600 proteins have been identified that play an integral role in the DDR. RAD9, encoding a DDR mediator protein, was the prototypical DNA damage checkpoint

Spin‐contrast‐variation small‐angle neutron scattering study of fully and partially swollen silica‐filled rubber

open access: yesJournal of Applied Crystallography, EarlyView.
We have elucidated the polymer adsorption layer structure in filler–rubber systems by conducting spin‐contrast‐variation small‐angle neutron scattering on partially and fully swollen filler–rubber samples with and without a silane coupling agent. We have elucidated the polymer adsorption layer structure in filler–rubber systems by conducting spin ...
