Solution of Material Mechanics by RPIM Meshless Method
Advanced Materials Research, 2013With the compact support of radial point interpolation shape functions (RPIM), the stiffness matrix of system equation can be sparse, so its very suitable for meshless methods. This interpolation method have the Kronecker delta function property, so the essential boundary conditions can be enforced directly and accurately without any additional ...

Vibration of Thin Beams by PIM and RPIM Methods
International Journal of Aerospace and Lightweight Structures (IJALS), 2013In this study, vibration of thin beams are analyzed by using point interpolation (PIM) and radial point interpolation (RPIM) methods with standard Gaussian integration and a nodal integration based on the Taylor series expansion. The effects of integration schemes, support domain sizes and RPIM shape parameters on the vibration modes are investigated ...

An improvement for coupled EFGM-RPIM method
Journal of the Chinese Institute of Engineers, Transactions of the Chinese Institute of Engineers,Series A/Chung-kuo Kung Ch'eng Hsuch K'an, 2016AbstractDue to the lack of an approximation of the Kronecker-delta property, using the element-free Galerkin method (EFGM) it is difficult to impose the essential boundary condition. Coupling EFGM with the radial point interpolation method (RPIM) is a promising method.

Study on meshless method using RPIM for transient electromagnetic field
Digests of the 2010 14th Biennial IEEE Conference on Electromagnetic Field Computation, 2010A meshless method for transient electromagnetic fields is proposed herein. In this method, wave equations and the Lorentz gauge are discretized using the radial point interpolation method (RPIM) for space and Newmark's β method for time. The proposed method was applied to two typical problems.

A hybrid ADI-RPIM scheme for efficient meshless modeling
2011 IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium, 2011This paper describes a novel hybrid technique, by combining the original radial point interpolation meshless method (RPIM) and the unconditionally stable leapfrog alternating-direction implicit (ADI-) RPIM scheme, to analyze electromagnetic radiation and scattering problems of multi-scale resolutions.

Meshless RPIM modeling of open-structures using PMLs
2010 IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium, 2010Meshless methods are emerging as a new class of numerical techniques for modeling complex electromagnetic problems with irregular geometries. To apply them to open structures, effective absorbing boundaries need to be developed. In this paper, the perfectly matched layer (PML) absorbing boundary condition is implemented into the meshless radial point ...

Investigation of the MeshFree RPIM Solution for a Haptic Sensing Approach to MEMS Design
2009 WRI World Congress on Computer Science and Information Engineering, 2009The specifications required at the design stage for the thermal management of MEMS based on haptic sensing are studied. The use of a meshfree method is proposed for the computation in real time of the temperature distribution within the system. We describe the problematic of a haptic environment and the critical issues associated with the process of ...
