Deep Generative Model-based RSSI Synthesis for Indoor Localization
International Conference on Electrical Engineering/Electronics, Computer, Telecommunications and Information Technology, 2022Indoor localization via deep learning (DL) is attracting researchers' attention. DL is mainly used for fingerprinting-based indoor localization as it generally employs a vast offline database to ensure its reliability.

RSSI-Based Bluetooth Indoor Localization
2015 11th International Conference on Mobile Ad-hoc and Sensor Networks (MSN), 2015The Global Positioning System (GPS) has been widely used to determine the location for a variety of different applications. However, it doesn't work well in indoor environments because it requires the line of sight to the satellites and therefore stops working when the line of sight is not available.

Predicting Car Collisions Using RSSI
2015 IEEE Global Communications Conference (GLOBECOM), 2014The periodic broadcast of a safety message (SM) containing vehicle position and motion data is the salient mechanism for providing drivers pre-crash alerts in Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) networks. However, if SMs are compromised or contain erroneous information, drivers may be unaware of impending danger.

Localization Algorithm Using Improved RSSI
Journal of Information and Computational Science, 2013The RSSI measuring localization method has attracted extensive attention due to its convenient acquisition of signals, low cost and small energy consumption. However, the actual environment of sensor node deployment is varied, which makes the localization results based on RSSI measuring usually unstable.

Theoretical facts on RSSI-based geolocation
2012 IEEE 27th Convention of Electrical and Electronics Engineers in Israel, 2012We address the problem of locating a stationary emitter using the Received Signal Strength (RSS) at receivers with known locations. The Maximum Likelihood estimator for the emitter location requires the minimization of a non-convex cost function. Since this cost function exhibits numerous local minima, its global minimization is usually realized by ...

RSSI evaluation for multi-story building
2015 Internet Technologies and Applications (ITA), 2015In this paper we investigate the reliability of ray tracing simulator in predicting the indoor radio channel response through a well specified environment. The knowledge of the indoor environment geometric and martial properties led to such site specific modeling.

CORDIC implementation of RSSI localization method
2010 Asia Pacific Conference on Postgraduate Research in Microelectronics and Electronics (PrimeAsia), 2010In this paper, a computational function based on the CORDIC algorithm for location estimation is proposed. Position awareness is a desirable feature for many applications of Wireless Sensor Networks. The Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) values provide a feasible way for relative position estimation.
