This study presents a scalable strategy for producing Priestia megaterium α‐amylase (PmAmy) via fed‐batch fermentation, optimizing the biomass/IPTG ratio to enhance yield. With an activity of 67.7 U mL−1 at 22.3 g L−1 biomass, PmAmy demonstrated 99% efficiency in dough fermentation, highlighting its industrial potential as a sustainable baking enzyme .

Nitrogen metabolism is reviewed with emphasis on methods for quantitating various nitrogen-transactions in the rumen of animals on a variety of diets. Ammonia kinetics, microbial cell synthesis, the inputs of endogenous nitrogen, degradation of dietary protein, and availability to the animal of dietary bypass protein are discussed.

This study revealed spatio‐temporal characteristics of gastrointestinal resistome in a cow‐to‐calf model and the pattern of their spread to the environment and offspring in the dairy production system. The gastrointestinal tract of dairy cows is a natural reservoir of resistomes and distinguished by gut sites and regions.
